I’m thinking about just getting the clear housing and use LED bulbs. Anyone do this? Definitely a lot cheaper and easier to deal with a bad bulb.

I personally bought a set of clear markers off of Ebay and had my painter tape them up and painted like the Oracle ones and then just used a led bulb. Don't get me wrong it is not the same look at night but overall gives you the desired effect for a lot less money.

The ebay lights burned out on me too. I turn them on as soon as i get in the car, so they get used a lil bit.

So I decided to go the cheap route and get the eBay lights. Needless to say you get what you pay for. They really feel cheap compared to the stock lights and the fit is just okay - not as flush as the stock lights. The right front had a short at the connector which isn’t surprising given how thin the wire is. The LED circuit board doesn’t look like a quality piece either. I obviously don’t know what the Oracle lights are like but I hope they are higher quality parts given the price. (Sorry for the fuzzy pic but you get the idea.)
I kind of wish I had stuck with my original plan and got clear housings only and just used LED bulbs. Again, you get what you pay for. The good thing is these are easy to install. I think the rear are actually easier than the front. You don’t have to jack up the car or take the wheel off - for the front just turn the wheel full lock to get room in the wheel well and for the rear all you need is a Philip screwdriver to take out one screw and the rear panel just pops right off.

I've had my Oracle sidemarkers since 2015 and so far so good (hopefully they won't fail now! ).
I've seen people run into issues with water getting in and fogging and burning out the LED's. If you experience this issue and wash your car with a high pressure hose, this might be some of the issue.
