Have a question regarding getting a tune for a tuner SC kit...

Hey guys,

So I'm looking at getting a Torqstorm supercharger and I'd like to install it myself, but I'm not sure how I would get the car to the tuner. This might be a dumb question, but for all my other mods so far I've used DynoSteve to get remote tunes so it's been super easy. I was pretty deadset on installing GPI's SS1 VVT cam, but I REALLLLY want a SC, and with my mods the Torqstorm being a centri I think would work for me.

So, with this, if I were to install the SC myself, how the heck do I get it to the tuner to get a dyno tune?

Tow it to a tuner or go the easy route and talk to ted jannetty. He will remote tune forced induction and from my research seems pretty damn good at it. Its who's doing mine and ive use steve in the past as well.

I took my ECU to my tuner and he installed a starter tune to enable me to drive it to his shop, but that was only about 7 miles.

Right now I"m looking at maybe using Jannetty to do it. I can install a wideband and he can remote it for me.

Drive it. The pedal on the right controls the boost. Don't get into boost and you will be fine.

If you also change your fuel injectors, you will need to have the injector data loaded into your tune before you start/drive the car.

I'm currently running a tune from DynoSteve so I figure I could put the ZL1 pump in and bigger injectors and have him tune for that. Once I get the SC on then my tune would already have the settings for the pump and injectors.

I installed an Edelbrock E-Force S/C on my SS. The kit came with a hand held tuner. Drove it to my tuner and had it dyno tuned.

This is probably a much better idea.

I would not remote tune a boosted application, but that’s me.

How come? Jannetty requires a WB be installed and it's outputs measured and sent back to him (among other things).
