Recaros in daily driver?
I almost pulled the trigger on a loaded 1LE but I 'think' I want recaros and it didn't have them. This will be a daily driver. Currently I have a 335i and I love my seats. They are highly bolstered. What is everyone's opinion on Recaros? Thanks!

Love mine; wife doesn't. I'm medium build about 5'10 190 and fit into the seats perfectly. I should also mention that I'm coming from a slew of 240sxs and an rx8. She doesn't mind the rx8 seats but they are way less bolstered. Got into a little spirited driving today to celebrate passing 750 miles on the clock and the seats held me in place as well as I remember the recaro I'd installed in my last 240. They're quite well cushioned and are a little more comfortable to ride in than my recaro srd seat was. The car it was installed in had a lot of solid bushings and the ones that did exist we're hardened polyurethane though so it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison in that regard.
TL;DR version -> I am very glad I ordered my 1LE with recaros and would happily do it again. |

I say get them. If you don't like them you could trade for some SS seats plus ask for a couple G's cash. They are a highly sought out item for us older SS owners.

My biggest problem with the standard SS seats is the head rests which push my head too far forward and , thus, cause a bit of neck pain/fatigue. I'm curious if the recaros are better on that front.

Absolutely love mine... I'm 5'11 240lbs and they are an incredible fit for me, my wife loves them as well... No way would I order another Camaro without them.

One more vote for the Recaros. My girlfriend and I both love them (she says the seats are her favorite part of the car)!

I ordered mine with them. When I was looking into what I wanted I sat in a SS with the regular seats, then sat in one with the recaros and I knew instantly that I was ordering one with the recaros. Talk about being comfortable and being held in your seat. Absolutely worth the 2 grand in my opinion.

The seats in my Traverse and Enclave do that too! Not sure why they are making the headrests do that! But my Racaro seats in my Camaro do not do that!

I went Racaro and NO regrets! Awesome seats! I am 6'1" (and I do have the sunroof and head room is not an issue...no regrets on the roof either!) and 185# (formerly 230#!) and I fit comfortably. My buddy went for a cruise with me and he is about 270# at 6' tall and he said they clearly were not made for a guy his size. He is very big across the shoulders and did not fit back into the seat wrap shape well. So maybe for a big guy they are not right?

Recaros are worth every cent. Seems the only people against them are the ones that don't have them ! Did a recent 8 hr trip, not for a minute was it uncomfortable.
You'll have trouble finding anyone that has them that wishes they didn't. Also, the NPP is the other must have, other stuff like RS, BA, Sunroof are more suited to everyone's different preferences.
