Stock SS with Tune Only

Without any other power adders how much rwhp can an M6 SS expect to pick up with a fairly aggressive tune (not so wild it will break after only a few thousand miles). In other words how much did Chevy leave on the floor? Just curious.

Chevy didn't leave much on the table they are very good right out of the box for Peak numbers bone stock.

We consistently record 370-375 RWHP on the LS3 cars on our dyno.

5-10 RWHP is about it.

The custom tuning changes the driver experience, through quicker throttler response and access to power that is already there but you don't have access to because of torque management.

The torque management is there to protect the novice driver from getting in to trouble.

Things I do in the tune for the stock LS3.
Skip shift off.
Fans on earlier
Torque management eliminated.
Timing optimized
Fueling optimized.
Rev limiter raised 200
speed limiter eliminated

Additionally for the L99
Transmission torque management reduced
Quicker shifts
Firmer shifts without being harsh

Ted.

That is somewhat surprising! But Ted verified it.

Thanks Ted! I think I may be coming to visit you once I decide which way to go - FI or NA.

I can get more out of the L99 cars then the LS3 cars out of the box.

TM/Line Pressure/Shift Delay is about it though.

I would say worth it only if you never plan on doing anything. If you do, get your parts first them tune it all at once to save you money.

Good luck to you

This is the best CAI for the 5th Gen Camaro SS models.

what do you guys get with a l99 car with no mods on the dyno, stock and tuned? any history with 2015s?

what about a l99 with cai , long tube headers, hf cats, cat back exhaust, no resonator, what would be close results tuned in hp and tor with these mods?

If your going to get anything from Ted Jannetty, adding a Jannetty Racing Dipstick Tube is an absolute must.

After adding a 3200 Circle D, and a tranny cooler, filled the way GM recommends, my car was 1.5 quarts low on fluid. Many stock cars come low, and the tranny ends up sucking air. It's an easy install with an angle arm socket. 15mm I believe, 1 bolt on the bell housing, pull the plug, install the grommet, bolt it back in.

Cheap insurance for your transmission.
