Ok. I think I made some progress.

BUT, I only shot 566.

I got my stroke back but was just missing my mark. Opened up the 10th in all 3 games.

198, 188, 180

I really think next week I'm looking at 650+

Best 'feeling' sub 600 in a while. Hard to explain but it clicked. Just didn't fall.

That's what we refer to as good bowling but bad scoring. Its a good confidence builder but good scoring needs to follow soon or your morale starts to suffer. I've laid the ball into the pocket and left pins when I thought for sure they were strikes. When I shot 300 it was totally lucky. That lucky night I carried stuff I had no business carrying. All the shots were in or near the pocket - no brooklyns - but definitely lucky. I even got a strike but bowled on the wrong lane. I had to bowl that frame again on the proper lane and carried so I actually had a 13 strike game. Anyway I always figure that bowling is about 25% luck, 65% talent and 10% alcohol.

Well the practice is starting to pay off for my son. He is throwing a minimum of 6 games a week right now, and has a decent coach. (LOL......ME).

He shot a new personal best 231 with a 6 bagger in the 4th thru 9th frame.

Had a pretty good night 212-256-212=680 I shot 682 last Thursday so i'm pretty consistance.. For now .

Nice shootin Marvin. If we make it our to Cfest together we need to run the 1/4 for a cold one then take to the lanes against Randy for another one. Winner take all. LOL

Marvin, I might need to have my son bowl for me. LOL He beat me again in the first game today. He shot 230 to my 195. I struck every time on the right lane and not a single strike on the left lane. This is back to back 230 plus games for him. He is really taking a good liking to the game.

I did better my second game as I made a move on the left lane, and it worked. I shot a 278.

Seem to have stopped the bleeding for now.

190, 227, 227 = 644

Missed 3 single pin spares and a number of splits.

Still seems off a bit but got into a groove and stayed there.

Felt better to end well though.

We are in first place too.

I learned that they started using different oil about 2 months ago.

Can a different type of oil cause different conditions?

That explains your trouble.

YEs, differant oil can change the conditions, might break down quicker, carry down differant, certainly will take time to understand.
