This is 2012. Blasting your Kid n Play out of your car with the doors open was popular in 1990. Get with it, bromie

Somehow I picture the OP with a fade haircut, Adidas shoes with no strings, and a neon striped tank top and stone wash jeans with the french cuff thing at the bottom.

My suggestion is looking for a wiring diagram and finding the speaker and unplugging it. Either that or you can hot wire the switch for the chime, but the lights will still turn on. good luck.

Way back when, I had a 1956 Chevy and I put a little metal tab over the button to keep the interior lights for going on with the door. They still worked with the switch but when the door was opened, they did not. Try that.

I believe you can set the start volume to a default level of your choice.

Another option is to find the switched wire between the radio and the ignition relay, tap into it with a hot wire and a switch. Then you can open the door pump the tunes and no chime. Just remember to turn the switch off to prevent a dead battery.

Ebay, saw a plastic seat belt buckel, just plugs in, can even get it with a Transformers logo on it.

Take your key and push on the latch in the door lock mechanism (it takes 2 stages of click). It then thinks the door is closed properly.
Just make sure to release it with your door pull or handle before you slam it closed again or you might break something.

Don't defeat the door chime! When I was in passenger safety I worked with a Ford engineer who was the chime engineer. His sole job was circuit design for chimes. You'll put him out of a job, lol.
