In my perfect world I'd have a 6 car collection and one of them would be a C5Z.
I dispute. It's a lot more like a one-seater, maybe two if you care about some other human being more than your car lol

You said the dealer told you it would break even with a trade in of $23,000 for your car. Then you turn around and buy the 03 for $22,000. All this to save money because you are between jobs right now....am I missing something here???? Now you want to either turbo the car you have or get a SS until you can buy a vette down the road. This sounds like something my 18 year old son would do....

"YOLO!"

Or whatever the saying is.

Finances and good financial planning be damned on here, apparently.

My plan is to retire young and own a cool car or two along the way. Having 5, 6, 7 year car loans and trading between model years simply because "I should have gotten something else" or "I want something else, even though my car is still brand new" -will never be part of my strategy......

This thread has become so over loaded with stupid azz comments from people that have no clue what they're talking about that I couldn't find a meme that's fitting for this shit show.

I would not trade a brand new car for an almost 12 year old five owner car, with no warranty. That z06 is way overpriced.

Just wait till you get the cash to buy a Vette.
Hope you get into your career.
And to me it won't be worth it to turbo your Camaro now. Again just wait.
Once you get the job you'll feel good and then you'll start to invest into your career and be able to save. Have a plan next year, 2years, 3 - 5 years.

Dealer offered me a 2010 ss camaro with lower monthly payments and lower insurance because the 2010 is an older camaro.

That's much better than the vette IMO (much newer and current). I'd do it (I actually did do it, went from a 2011 1lt/RS to a 2010 2SS). The 2010 runs just like the 2014 (I test driven every year). The 2014 does have more refined feeling suspension but the 2010 SS is a very good car! Plus looking at that link, it's a stick shift! Do it! You'll love the 2010 2SS manual tranny! Fun fun fun!
