Z06 $79,000
You will now see the Z28 prices reduced by at least 10k more than you see now.

Lol why would anybody buy a Z28 when the Z06 is the same price? Man Chevy is all over the place with their pricing.

My budget doesn't allow me to be conflicted but I would take a Z/28 over a Z06 in a heartbeat.

Because, as shocking as it is to say, the Z/28 is more of a track car. This "Z06" is not like previous Z06s. It's more of a touring car than a track car. I would gladly take a Z/28 over the Z06.

I'm also curious about how many Z06s will be produced for this year, since the dealers I interact with act like they're going to be rarer than hen's teeth. If you can't even really get a Z06, then their pricing is going to get elevated -- which impacts the Z/28 comparison. In reality, I suspect the cars are so different that few people would cross-shop. The Z/28 is a dinosaur (427 N.A. V-8 + 6-speed manual) that went to finishing school at the Ring (carbon-ceramic brakes, Multimatic suspension). The Z06 is an entirely different animal. I'll be interested to see just how different the lap times are, though I suspect the Z06 will have a suspension and chassis that are the equal of the Z/28 -- plus more power & torque with less weight. Kudos to Chevy for making so many excellent choices for track duty!

This bodes VERY well for the likelihood of a "price-appropriate" Gen-6 ZL1 that will scatter kitty litter all over the streets-roads-highways-tracks of any place a 'Cat dares to squat...

Like I have said in every thread about teh Z/28s price vs a corvette, if I had the extra income to just toss on a toy like these cars, it would be corvette every time.
and BRT3, the Z07 package which adds the CC brakes and all that good stuff is an extra like 8K, so it brings the total of the Z06 to around 86K (base Z06 + Zo7 package). You can even add more tech goodies if thats what your into with the Z06 |

Buy the time you add the good parts to the car its 11K more then the price you posted,so now we are at 90K for the Z06 and it added 225 Lb to the car.
Edit: to get the Z07 package with the CC brakes you need to also buy the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects package with enhanced aero, and its 3K, and last the sport seats and we know that will be more. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2015-...6-order-guide/ Last edited by 2SSRS@Gen5diy; 08-22-2014 at 11:56 AM. |

What are you smoking? You might want to read how the Z06 and the ALMS car where designed side by side.
