Light whining on accesory belt

I have a bit of a whine on one of my belts that is very noticeable at idle and still slightly noticeable even at low/mid RPM. I only have 14k miles so I can't believe I need a new belt. I don't really think it's a pulley issue because it is much more of a whine than a squeak. Any insight on this would be much appreciated.

Mileage doesn't matter, as I recall there was a batch of bad belts from a supplier....I had to get my serpentine belt changed out on my 2011 SS a month after buying it new for same annoying squeak as you described. And I remember others having to get the small ac belt changed out fairly quick also.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll try throwing on another belt since that's not too rigorous of a task anyways. Just wouldn't have thought the belt would crap out on me after that low of a mileage.

I had this problem awhile ago also, I think around 10k miles or so. I took it into the dealership and they "cleaned" the belts. Well, it went away for about 10 miles then it came up again. What happened is the belt on my crank and ac had walked off a little bit. I turned it over by hand via a ratchet and slowly walked it on and have not had a issue since.

Weird. I wonder what caused it to walk off in the first place. Thanks for the info.

Every time I did a burnout it would walk off. Limit your burnouts to a car length and not a city block and you should be fine.
