Resale value
No, I'm not even considering it!!! But, this article listed the cars with the best resale values... Camaro is on the list TWICE!

Yeah but the crooked biased asses said this at the end of each Camaro post:
Our take: Sometimes looks win out over performance. We think the lighter Mustang handles better, offers better visibility and has a higher-quality interior, but the V6 performance is about the same between the two cars. We'd choose the third-place Mustang, but we can't blame people for liking the Camaro's looks. Our take: Apparently, pony-car buyers value V8 performance over the base V6 engines. That's understandable, because the Camaro SS makes great noise and generates torque-rich power. Once again, we prefer the Mustang GT, for the reasons listed above, as well its 5.0-liter V8 engine, which revs more freely and delivers better fuel economy. |

I was looking at lightly used cars and ended up buying new precisely because the resale value was so good. The difference between a used model from last year with 5000 miles and a brand new car was like 750 buck everywhere I looked.

That's what I was wondering.
I guess that's a feature for sitting in a parking lot and showing off your new exhaust system. Sounds like pure Poser porn to me.

I only ask because a fully loaded 2012 2SS is going for 32k at my local dealership. They're widely considered to be corrupt, so it'd be nice to have some ammo against the haters if a used 2010 is going for 38k elsewhere. |

In CT they tax us on current value every year.
They are really whacking me on this car.

Well done for the Camaro and GM though. I'm happy to see decent American cars on the roads again. Too many years of these Honda-driving pukes, always in a hurry to get in front of anybody just before they stop at the next red light... |

just based off of 2010's
Mustang GT MSRP $27,995 Clean trade based on NADA $21,300 Loss of $6,695.00 Camaro SS MSRP $30,245 Clean trade based on NADA $26,475 Loss of $3,770.00 They can keep their "free reving b.s." I'll take a soild car with better resale. I've driven and broken Mustangs for yrs, Camaro is a more solid car on many levels |

As for breaking..? I'd say they're pretty similar, though my Firebird wasn't really a Camaro. It was as good as the Mustangs; no better or worse. All were still crude cars, compared to other cars I've owned. |
