Stiffening you suspension components is an important factor in getting the most out of your Camaro. Our strong lightweight brace is an inexpensive way to stiffen your weak factory rear toe link. We have designed this brace to slip in place on your existing toe link and box it in for maximum stiffness.

Simply push out your factory bushings, weld the brace to your toe link and re-install your bushings. In the coming weeks we will have a polyurethane bushing set to replace those factory rubber bushings also.

At Pfadt, we are not just content with building products that look pretty. We design all of our pieces to take care of problems and needs that your Camaro has. There has been a lot of talk about fabricated control arms for the rear suspension for these cars. As is typical for Pfadt, we started by looking at the factory pieces to see where the deficiencies are.

Here is a rear trailing arm (the toe link) shown with a 1000 lb tension force in it. A realistic cornering load. The deflection in the steel arm itself is 2.4mm. That is obviously not conducive to good handling and cornering feel. The deflection amount is almost exactly the same in compression. The shadowed arm in the photo shows the displacement (multiplied for visualization).



Armed with this information, we decided that we could stiffen up that arm with a simple, inexpensive DIY brace.



With the brace installed on the part, the deflection is reduced to less than 1mm with the same load.

Here is the same analysis of the toe link with the brace in place.



Look for more fabricated control arm pieces from Pfadt in the near future, complete with the analysis to back them up.

thats awsome might have to get a set. hey are you guys gonna come out with some sort of chassis brace? im very impressed with what ive been reading about pfadt.

We've got both a strut tower brace and a set of undercar braces in the works.

Here is the Strut Tower brace. This one is the revised design from the unit shown at SEMA. It now clears the Magnuson supercharger with ease.



Here is one of our series of undercar chassis stiffening braces. This unit is much larger than it looks in the rendering. We'll post some photos of it on a car in the next couple of days. The unit is almost 30" square and weighs 8 lbs. It is super light and stiff.

We're actively working on driveline solutions. We think that the weakest link right now is not the shaft assembly itself, but the rubber flex joints. We will probably have a solution for those very soon and follow that up with a complete driveshaft solution. It is not a trivial solution to put a 1-piece carbon shaft in these cars. You must have a point of axial takeup (the spline section does that on the factory shaft) for engine and differential relative movement and chassis tolerances.

We're working on it, but it'll be down the road a little while.

We had a bit of a run on the sways. We have the Balance bars in stock, but the Pfadt Sport kit is out of stock temporarily. We'll be shipping them again before Christmas.

I like the CCWs. I'm thinking of calling John to get a set for our new Silver SS.
