Germany Shepherds are great dogs, but can be high maintenance. Before you get one make sure you have time to spend with it training and playing. They need lots of mental stimulation and exercise, and if they don't get it from you they will get it somewhere. Usually they take it out on your belongings. Lots of good dogs end up in shelters or worse because they have shitty owners that aren't aware of what they are getting into when they bring home that lovable little puppy. Also make sure your new puppy spends lots of time socializing with other people and dogs while it's young so you don't have problems later.
