buying advice 2010/13 camaro

Hi im new to the forum,

I'm looking to buy a used 2010/13 camaro within the year.
I would like to know if someone could give me some recommendations and advice.

The highest i can do is 12k and most likely will be high mileage.
Thats pretty much all i have been seeing in this price range here in Ga.

Thanks..

Jp

I had a 2012 v6 auto with 48k miles offered to me a while back for 12k. Almost bought it for my soon to be 16 year old son.

If you use a website like car gurus or cars.com you can put the price you can afford and year ect. And that will give you idea what you can expect for $12000 without going to a dealership.

bought my 11 2SS with 13k miles for 20k. only ones I saw under 15k were pretty beat up, but the automatics were cheaper by a couple grand and V6 was even more so. Could probably get a nice V6 for that price but it's a V6. I was looking for an SS M6 exclusively, with under 50k miles. If you have $12k I'd put $10k down, finance the rest, get a low mileage SS and have a little money left over for upgrades!

Solid advices.

If you are in no rush, then wait it out and be ready to jump on the right deal.

As mentioned above, if you have 12k available, put down a large downpayment and finance the rest. You’ll have a pretty low monthly payment and have a low mileage v8 beauty.

Picked up 1SS with 38k on the clock for $16,5k a little under a year ago.

Good luck!

I paid around 18 for my 2SS RS with 52k on it last year, I probably over paid a little bit it was THE car I wanted loaded with ground effects and the uncommon color I wanted as well. With 12 down you could finance a couple thousand and get the car you want at a low monthly instead of settling for something you don’t exactly want and won’t be happy with in the long run.

I live in GA, too. Just did an Autotrader search using your criteria and there are many available around $12K, most in the 80,000 mi to 110,000 mi range, almost all V6.
Good luck with your hunt!!

For the money you looking at, I would recommend trying to find a 2013 V6. Whenever looking at buying a used car, the advice I give everyone is buy the newest one that meets your wants/needs. In the case of the 2010-2013 Camaros, the 2013 is the best way to go; a lot of the little bugs were worked out and it will have better/upgraded technology and options. Good luck in your hunt.

For the money you're looking at spending, you'll be looking at either the LT or LS; the SS will be a little out of your price range.
