Price Check Please

I came across a one owner 2011 Camaro 1LT with under 10K miles. Appears to be a base model with very few options added other than stripes? He told me he'd take 13K cash. Car is bone stock and pretty much the way it was back when new. Original tires still on the car and look perfect even though I know they should be replaced anyways. Thoughts?????

This would be for my son who just graduated high school and looking for his first rwd car

Wow! Well, if a 1LT is what your're looking for, looks like this is it. Personally, I would never go below a 2LT....has all the bells and whistles. But this one is like new. Book value is $10,148-$12,129 (Kelley Blue Book). But if it's what you want, jump on it!

i would never go below a 1ss.
it has low miles and 10 year old tires they will need to be replaced. so nice car clean low miles but a little high on the price.i think he will get it eventually to the RIGHT person is that person you?.i wouldn't go a penny more than 11k and i would have to be in love with it to pay that.

I would never pay that much for a V6, as $13k is what can get you a higher mileage SS if you shopped around.

That said, that is essentially a brand new car. So I don't really think it is absurdly overpriced or anything. Someone clearly loved that car and took very good care of it - from what we can see. So that has to be worth something. The most important question to ask yourself is 'Is this what I want?' Because if so, then you may need to look no further.

Edit: I posted that while you were posting about it being for your son for graduation. That is a hard one. How will your son drive it? Is he going to drive it like it's an SS? After all, he has seen dad drive his 1LE over the last few years. There are a ton of things to consider in this situation, so I figure what the hell...if you know he will love it, can afford the insurance, and is RESPONSIBLE then go for it.

I just picked up a 10 RS, completely stock, 44k miles. The tires will most likely need to go. Mine looked fine too. Pulling the rims and tires off the car though showed a lot of dry rot between my treads on the original tires.
Mine's a 10, every option except the sunroof, 6speed manual (he specifically had to have) and granted mine has 44k miles vs your 9k+, but I paid $8,800. He started at 10.5. So that's my comparison for you from 2 weeks ago.
If you're buying to keep for years to come, absolutely love this car and have to have it, great, pay his asking price. However, I would suggest paying much closer to $10k.
Good luck

If that is what I was looking for I would offer the guy $11,000 and probablly settle around $12,000 nice unmolested camaros weather v6 or v8 are very hard to come by. Would be alot better than my first car an 81 Chevrolet Citation.
Best of luck to you probably will not last long.

Yeah I added that it's for him in my original post as well. Anyways yes he likes it...insurance we'll find out tomorrow.....the last one is the huge question mark for his mom and myself? But he was looking at 4th gen V8 camaros, 350z's and mustangs. So to me, this is the tamest so far.....i think???

We are struggling to find anything around 10k that doesn't have a million miles, wrecked, salvaged etc. If I do, its another boring fwd commuter car he doesn't want.

Quality low mileage cars are hard to come by lately, make an offer and see what happens. Personally I would have gone wild as a high graduate and that was mine. Alot of people will immediately dismiss this because of the v6, are you comfortable putting him in a higher powered one?

No way could I in good conscience have him out in a high powered car at this time.

Although it's really low miles (and nice! ) keep in mind it's gonna need new hoses, belts, and fluid changes too unless the owners got records showing otherwise. Just something to mention in the bargaining.

Might wanna get an insurance quote for your son prior to buying too.
