Last I heard, it was speculated to stay at about the current price or slightly higher until after the conversion back to the summer formula.

Not trying to make this a contest but I drove home on Mound today through Warren, and thought that I may leave a few suspension parts behind. Concrete roads are great when they're new but they're terrible after a few real winters. Asphalt never sticks when they try to fill concrete with it.

I don't travel down Mound very often, but I believe it! I feel the same way on Dequindre, it's the worst at the 15 mile intersection. Even in my truck I can't go over 20-30 without feeling like my shocks are going to blow out. In my Camaro... I will usually take the long way around and avoid it. If I have to go through it I go about 10-15...

Hey, don't knock the Volt - it is actually a great car. We just got a Camaro for my wife, but I have a Volt and a Vette (can you get two more different cars? ). The Volt handles well, has instant torque (as all electric cars do) and gets really good miles/unit of energy.

Sure it doesn't look as good as the Camaro (or the Vette) and isn't as fast, but it is more nimble than the Camaro.

^^I just cant buy into the electric cars. All thats going to happen, is when electric cars are the norm, electricity will start to cost a fortune. Then we are paying $500 a month for electricity, and then everyone will start bitching that we need to conserve it. It is a never ending cycle when it comes to alternative fuels. We still have enough oil for more than 100 years. Lets use what we got while its here. Plus I want more than 70 miles range! Lol

Blame that A**HOLE in the White House and the FOOLS in Congress. It is their fault for the high prices. White House is using Executive Orders to add taxes for the so called Green Energy.

it's not even that. the bigger problem is we don't have the capacity to recharge a bunch of cars every day. a lot of places already go with rolling blackouts during the summer or real cold winters to keep the grid from going down. and with new EPA regulation in the pipeline to make it virtually impossible to build coal fired plants supply will be stretched even farther. the problem is that the goal of our current government and probably 1/4 of the population is to produce less energy, not more. so electric cars as a novelty are fine, but if they ever start going mainstream we're going to have some real infrastructure problems.

plus, when the power goes down like with some of these storms, not only is your power out, now you cant drive either

Only if you have a purely electric - the Volt still runs on good old Dino juice. (and as an added bonus, I can actually power my house from the car - it does have a 50 + KWH generator)

Please note, I'm not trying to push electric cars (or hijack the thread) but the Volt is a great car. And don't worry about electric prices going up, it takes just as much electric to produce, transport and sell a gallon of gasoline as it does to travel 40 miles on all electric.

Also there has been a rumor that my Michigan governor wants to add a state wide 20 cent gas price increase, to help pay for the roads. Anyone else in the Detroit area or elsewhere around the U.S. think gas will be outrageous this summer??
Just ask any liberal....Its Bush's fault!!! I say drill bany Drill. And lets build that pipeline.
