Just for fun I ran my '13 1SS through Carvana. 18K miles on it and I paid $28K for it brand new in 2013 (sticker was $36K). They offered $26.3K. Amazing that if I wanted to sell I'd get almost all my money back after 8 years.

Interesting. I ran my '13 2SS/RS through for giggles (22,850 miles bone stock) and they only offered $25,059. This is ~$2K more than I paid for it (used) but less than your 1SS. I used San Antonio, TX for my zip code since Carvana does not do business in Alaska. I tried Boston zip and came in at $25,408.

Weird. The fact that I'm under 20k miles has to be a factor and maybe color as well. Mine has the RS package too and it has NPP. I'm the original owner too so maybe it being a 1 owner car makes a difference.

Yes I'm back and forth but leaning towards selling, I realize if I sell I probably won't get a chance to buy another one for a year or two until prices normalize.

$ dealerships in my area have zero Camaros, new or used. Only 17 on Carsoup all years within 25 miles of my zip. Very short supply especially with low miles. ran mine on Kelly bluebook with 76kmiles and it booked at 26K. With the 7800 mine has on it it jumped to 32k trade in. Huge difference. Might make up my mind this weekend.

One thing I'm sure of, if I get into a dealer and they try to jack me around and offer me less, I am OUT, In fact if they try to offer me less I'm going to tell them the price just went up to 33K, take it or leave it. I don't have to sell so maybe I can have some fun with it.

Yes, and before they stop selling it they will make it so high most will be forced into electric. That's if the current screw balls stay in power.

Will this make gas powered sports cars more or less valuable if you can't practically drive them anymore?

Update, I sold it to a dealer last Friday morning for 33k, they have it listed for 36,985. So the prices are legit.

There’s a Stealership with a 2010 2SS (black with red race stripes) with 19,995mi for sale at $28k that means $25-26k is what they’re asking. I bet they bought that car for $14k....

They’ll stop making gasoline cars. Didn’t say they’ll stop making gasoline. That’s here to stay at least until my kids die. If you’re making plastic? You’re making gasoline. Gotta make rocket fuel and rocket fuel comes after gasoline because its lighter. We have all the infrastructure for gasoline pumps. No sense in just killing it. As then some cars may be worth millions because they’re collectors items.
