Stall install problems

Sooo I had a few performance installs on my 2010 2SS A-6-one being a Vigilante 3400 stall converter. Well, After paying and driving off- I noticed that the trans aggressively downshifts EVERY gear everytime you slow down. About 8 mph the car hits 1st gear and lunges the car forward. I called the shop and they told me "Oh yeah, we couldnt tune the trans because HP tuners doen not have a tune for this car yet" 1) does Hp have a tune out yet? 2) does any other company have a tune out yet for this car? 3)Does it hurt to drive the car this way?? I cant stand paying top dollar only to find out that the job was half-assed Thanks in advance for any thoughts. Peace

I have a yank 3600 and it kinda does the same.. I may of been the first with one in a camaro.. almost a year ago, and still no one can help.. so far. I use efi live and have it much better, but not perfect. I forget what I did now, it was a while ago. I will be pulling the car out again soon and will post if I figure it out perfect.

We have done a few A6 cars with HP tuners and have had no problems making changes in the TCM.

HP Tuners doesn't provide canned tunes... sounds like whatever shop you took it to relies on the repository to reflash cars instead of actually doing things themselves. I think it's time to find a good tuner who is proficient with either HP Tuners or EFI Live.

HMMMMM Yeah, thats kinda what I thought. They put a cam in and tuned the engine. Am I wrong to think that they should have at least tried to tune the trans after installing a converter? I mean, I wouldn't have let them do it if they would have told me upfront.

Phoenix 3200 here,what I think I'm experiencing is factory lock-up after a shift.
I always paddle shift around town and around 2-2500 (approx.30mph) after I shift to 3rd it feels like it shifts again.

Are you guys running tranny coolers? I've always been told they are a must.

I'm considering a stall later this summer (if I can save some cash), but I also need to look into what tranny cooler everyone is going with.

Yes. It is a necessity on stall converters. Mine was about 60.00
