Help on getting this sound?

I have been researching for weeks on what would be the best option to change the sound of my currently stock '11 v6.

After doing some research, I'm thinking about getting BBK LT headers and the MRT V2 axle-back exhaust. Because of this video:



I need help with what exactly makes it sound that aggressive and the way it growls. In particular, the popping after it's revved is something I would really like to get mine to make. It has BBK LT Headers, MRT V2 exhaust with resonator delete, Injen Short-Ram air intake, high flow cats, as well as the Trifecta Tune.

How do each of those contribute to the way it sounds? I know that the headers and exhaust make it louder and deeper, but do the other's contribute to the aggressiveness of it? And what causes the pop after each rev?

Now to answer your questions. The trifecta tune will honestly have nothing to do with sound. They have a component to their tune called a "ghost cam" that makes it sound like the car is cammed. Although a cool feature, many have reported problems because of it.

The Injen Short-Ram is probably the next one that has the least amount to do with sound. It definitely contributes just a bit though. It makes the exhaust a bit louder and deeper. Nothing major but it helps.

The BBK LT Headers, high flow cats, MRT v2 exhaust, and the resonator delete are the parts that have the most to do with the sound.

The BBK's and high flow cats add that deep aggressive growl you hear. They are the major component to this setup. The MRT v2 exhaust makes the exhaust even deeper and makes it a tad bit more aggressive but a lot of that aggressive sound comes from the headers. The resonator delete helps make it a bit louder and more aggressive as well. All in all, they all do something that contributes to the sound but the BBK's are huge to this setup.

The pop after each rev is just something that happens with a loud and aggressive exhaust.

Once you remove the stock cats you start getting your "aggressive" sound...

Loved the sound of your car with the shorty headers.

I should just bite the bullet and see if I can't get my rear cats deleted one of these days. If I remember correctly, I think the CEL will not come on from deleting just the rear cats (I'm back on the stock tune)

Compared to full on LT headers....yes you get about half the power.

But if you already had shorty headers, and then removed the stock cats and added high flow cats, then they would be pretty close in my opinion.
