Yup. I also went to Chevy's website and decked out a Colorado Z71 quad-cab short bed with similar options. It rung up at ~$38,500. This thing will push $50k easy. My suggestion: Let somebody buy one, get bored with it, trade it in, then you buy it for ~65-75% of the original MSRP.

If this thing came with the LT1, I would get it over another Camaro.

If I had to guess, I'd blame the lifted ride height and/or the DSSV shocks.

Did anyone else notice the green ZR2 is a diesel AND only a regular cab? This wasn't an option in 2016... Maybe still just a prototype; the orginal concept was the same; would be cool though

It's an extended cab. There are no regular cab Colorado for North America.

Sorry, got the terminology wrong... 2 door not 4 door is what i ment
Just know this wasn't an option with the diesel before; most think because of emmisions packaging restraints...makes sense, the emmisions equipment on my 4 door extends to the rear of the back door

I disagree. I think the extended cab with a v6 might be had for 38K, especially when you consider a 4x4 Z71 extended cab can be had for 33K. Now a 4 door diesel, with all the extra's, you might get close to 50K, but like it has been said, that is Raptor territory. So I don't think you can make the ZR2 that expensive.

We just will have to wait for pricing. Damn shame no manual transmission.

Meh.....I haven't seen a GM truck I thought looked decent in 30 years. Looks are subjective though. Sounds like a fun vehicle.

A compliant off road suspension is not the same as a regular truck setup so you will have a reduction in payload and towing rates. Stiff leaf spring packs are great for towing and such but is not very articulate off road which requires good suspension travel to help smooth out the bumps and aid in rock crawling.

Go compare the Ram Power wagon to a regular 2500 4x4 and you will see a big difference in its' capabilities with regard to payload and towing between the two.

I went to Chevy's actual website and built a Z71. Unless Chevrolet is lying...it stickered for ~$38,500 (Z71 Package, V6, quad cab, performance exhaust, bed liner, tonneau cover, Bose stereo, etc.). With all the off-road tech this ZR2 is packing, it will be shocking if this thing is not in the neighborhood of $50k.
$50k for a Raptor? Perhaps a used one. If you want one fresh off of the lot, you're looking at $60-65k.

Thanks for the explanation! Makes sense.
