It depends on your location due to stuff like Altitude, Climate, Humidity.

Im getting the rough idle because its pulling in too much air.

What happens if you go on a trip in your car to different states? Is the car going to run poorly? If it is so important that they search your alltitude it sounds as if you take a trip across country your car will not run properly. Not making much sense to me.

Not trying to hyjack the thread. Just curious how it will function.

That's been my #1 concern... but the rubber blocks that fit in top of the radiator is a pretty tight hold.

I also don't think this rough idle thing is going away without a tune. JMHO

Good point. Also, I haven't had a response to my question (above) yet. I'm number 286 on the preorder list but would really like these questions answered before I purchase. I haven't heard of anything like this from other CAIs out there.

I don't have the rubber blocks at all and have no problems.

No, my original question was if VARARAM doesn't send the spacer and bolts because someone lives in a city where it is not necessary, what happens if that person moves to a city with a different altitude and then needs them?

I dont know guys thats what I understood but then again Patrick is so damn smart that some stuff went over my head. Maybe he can come on here and explain it.

He did say it should clean up a bit as I drive it more but it will idle cleaner with the 2.75", and it will run stronger, thats why hes sending it over.

The car runs perfectly fine with it, but just jumps between 400-500 and 500-700 randomly. It doesnt do it the whole time, it will be hanging at about 500 and just jumping a tad like it did stock then randomly start jumping more and you can hear it in the exhaust since Im running LT's now, Then it will go back to normal and the process continues. Patrick explained something about mhz but like I said, over my head.

I only have 30 miles one it so far with mostly city driving, Ill update during the weekend.

Here is a semi-complete DIY for those interested, Ill finish it up when the new unit gets here.

A little, I felt a little more funny that nothing on the front of the intake bolted into anywhere, but ehh.... they did endless amounts of testing so I trust it.
