I did the same thing - except I took a bus! - Only I wanted to go to Philly for quite a while no, so I don't mind. I had a lot of fun.

I even have pictures! I went alone! :P

I just got back from NYC about 30 minutes ago (I took mytown -> philly, then philly -> nyc, then nyc-> my town, 3 buses)

Man, we should have met up!

I stayed at the marriot downtown Philadelphia, the one with the brdige to the convention center.

The only Camaro I saw there:

By the way, I paid for the hotel, and both buses before I left home. I realized it was the 30th at 11 pm Thursday, my bus was 5pm Friday. No refunds/transfers were possible and I have never been to Philly, so I took the trip anyway. It was a great decision, I had a lot of fun.

Its very strange we both thought it was this week..Maybe there was a typo somewhere? Or maybe we were a little too excited haha

Getting ready to book a hotel. Does anyone have a reservation already and if so where? I'm definitely from "out of town"! I would like to hook up with some people to caravan over to the event. Otherwise I'm up for suggestions on where to stay. Thanks for the help!

Depends how much you are willing to pay. I'm going to the downtown Marriott, its great and I think its around 119/night - not sure if you want to pay that much though. No complementary breakfast and the pool is always full - but other than that its almost perfect. It has a bridge to the convention center. Parking is expensive, but I'm not driving there so.

Edit: it was 119 last Friday, apparently its $149 now...not sure if its worth it. Its probably because of the event.
