M6 all the way. I wanted it because I've only owned autos previously, they were boring, and I've always enjoyed driving my friends manual cars. To me, it's much more fun to drive a manual and I feel "one with the car" I wanted the LS3 engine. This is my daily driver, including some occasional heavy traffic.

My last 4 cars have been auto. I felt like it was time to get back to "fun" driving, so I went with the stick. If you have ever driver a stick before, it's like riding a bike, it will come back to you after a few miles

I bought an automatic. I just prefer automatic. I don't care to "row" (my dad used to call it that). Yes, I know how to drive a stick and have done so many times.

Also, the automatics are actually faster , not that I'm planning to race mine, so actually this wasn't the main reason).

And, finally, I have severe spine problems (I have a lot of hardware and implanted electronics in my spine to help manage my pain) and constantly shifting and using the clutch is problematic for me.

I find my car to be VERY fun to drive and if I want that extra control when driving on windy or hilly roads, I can use the paddle shifters.

If you really enjoy driving a stick, then you should get a manual. I think for some they are great fun and I can see why you might prefer that. My mom used to say "that's why they make chocolate AND vanilla." (Not sure why I got on the parental reminiscing in this post.)

PS: Notice I don't dis anyone for the choices they made, so please don't dis me for my choice. I am very happy with my choice of automatic. It is right for me.

You're disrespecting the car if you get an automatic.

went with stick, auto fuel management with auto trans engine drops to 4 cylinders, if the computer board goes south how long will it take to get a new one?

For me my cars have always been autos and my trucks always standard. I'm a creature of habit I guess. I find when it comes to performance an auto is way better than a standard trans. I've had a lot of B&M Turbo 400 with Hurst dual gate shifters or B & M shifters that a stick couldn't touch .... Just saying ....

Even though people swear up and down that a stick is faster, the actual numbers for the Camaro show the auto winning out on the 0-60.

I bought mine manual because its hella more fun to drive. I've had autos for the last 8 years and most of my decision to buy the Camaro was the fun factor -- getting an auto would have killed that for me!

I grew up driving muscle cars with a stick, so I will always drive a muscle car with a stick.
