question about halfshaft swapping

Im swapping over my stock halfshafts to some gforce ones and noticed the stockers have some extra hardware on both ends where they mount to the pumpkin & also the spindle. Looks like siver lips that might aid sealing them in. Are you guys swapping any old hardware off the stockers to the race set when your doing your upgrade? No install instructions, just double checking. Thanks

They are a direct swap....just make sure you lube up the splined end that's going into the pumpkin.

Yep, a direct swap. Nothing special needed. Take care not to damage the inner seals when sliding the inner stubs in.

Thanks
Chris

thx guys, got it all back in ok. I took it for a spin and it seems like when the clutch engages/disengages now im hearing a little more noise. Like maybe more slack in the drivetrain. Im going to drive it for a bit some more and see how it does. Is there any difference you notice after the swap or does it feel the same usually? I might just be a little paranoid and paying more attention then usual though.

Also wanted to ask if you have to stab it in a certain way. I just greased the end and pushed it in hard until it stopped. I pulled on it afterwards and it seemed to not be moving so i moved forward. Does it matter if the clip faces a certain way or will in click in no matter how its pushed in?

Doesnt matter on the clip, it will snap into the groove when you push the stub in.
Sounds like you did everything correctly.

Thanks
Chris
