So who has the most watts in their system?

I am running 1000 watts, 600 to my 2 10" JL subs and 400 watts to the cabin speakers. And these are rms watts.

I'll be running 1400rms to mine next week. Definitely not the most on this site though lol.

1000w to my single 12" in a ported box and 400w to my Focal PS165 speakers, front and back.

This is funny because my Camaro is at the Stereo shop as I write this. I had the Scosche kit put in with a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH head unit. I went with a ARC amp and Focal speakers all around. I had got the sub box from the Chevy site with 2 10" MTX subs and it is great but my buddy just opened a stereo shop here in Pittsburgh and talked me into putting 2 ARC Black 12" subs with another ARC amp to run them. I'm not sure exactly how much power I will be running yet but he assures me it will be kick ass. I will be taking offers on the MTX 10" sub box I bought from Chevy for $1100.00. It has a amp built into it and hooks right up to the stock Camaro stereo. Like I said it sounded great and if your looking to add some bass and boost your stock stereo up without a bunch of work and money then it is perfect. Again I'm taken offers and it will be available the middle of this week when I pick my Camaro up. PM me if interested..

Running 1150 watts on one Audison 5.1k amp. Just enough power to run all of our Hertz speakers and subs.

Nice looking install there!

Right now I have 3400 watts.

I used to compete in SPL with another car and the most it ever had was 54,000 watts.

that was my old trailblazer

i don't see going nuts with car audio as being a cool thing anymore - there's always someone better, louder, etc. i love bass and plan on adding subs to my camaro, but nothing crazy that would require aftermarket alternators or multiple batteries to sustain power without clipping, cutting out/bottoming out etc

1-3k is sufficient for cars when it comes to subs. a proper install with GOOD subs @ 2 or 3kw power? you'll be street beating all day...4kw or above is overkill, there is not that much airspace in cars to make use of such power. when you move up to SUV's you have more airspace thus more room for the subs to perform.

i'd like to get a nice setup with Focal/Image Dynamics speakers, deaden the car and throw in 2 RE 12's. RE performs AND sounds good, hard to find with today's brands...albeit they are expensive. i ran 2 RE SX 12's and they hit HARD, the XXX is a monster but @ 1200 a sub....not interested anymore! lol

2 10's or 2 12's in the camaro are plenty...anything more is again overkill.

WOW!!!! 3000, that would shake you up. I love to watch movies with mine and it's only 1000 watts total. My favorite is still Top Gun with the jets flying is insane.
