Those days were fun and exciting, and you're right; it still feels so new to me, too!!!

Even though I don't post on here as much as I did the first few years, I still stop by and check in almost every day to see all the newbies and watch all their excitement on taking delivery of their new 'babies'!!!

I remember following you folks on here when the cars started coming in.Thats when I got the hook.Took me a year and a half later before I could afford mine.

I remember the days, weeks, and months of being rock stars on the highways driving our new 5thgens....they were so rare, we would never see another one and people were always waving, pointing, taking pictures, and swarming us in parking lots and gas stations; anxious to see what this new beast was!!!

Those were very special times!!!

July 25th for me will be 4 yrs. It was amazing back in 2009, even working in Chicago and driving I-55 every day I would never see another Camaro. It is the only car I have had that someone actually followed me home to ask me about it.

WOW!!!

I can't believe you remember my very special story about buying my car from my best friend, who sadly passed away before we ever got another chance to go back and see him again...he had moved to Virginia and I am still in NY, but we bought the car from him in VA, and planned to go back to the dealer every year for a visit...at least I got to see him just one more time...

He was so happy for me to see how much joy the car brought me..... I found out he had passed away the day we got back from BBOMG3 and the Camaro Homecoming and factory tour in June 2011..at least he knew I was going there...I was so anxious to call and tell him all about it...who knows, maybe he was there with us....

I still miss him like crazy and cannot believe we finally got to see each other again, only to lose him for good...I'm so happy I got to see him, even if it was only once.

Here are some photos:

first one is the day after delivery with me and my buddy getting ready to say goodbye...I was pretty choked up, as I had a gut feeling that that was the last time I would ever see him again...little did I know how right I ended up being :(

second one is with me and Team Camaro after they finished signing the shock tower of my car at the Camaro/GM Nationals in Carlisle, PA, only a month after getting the car...

We bought ours for our 30th anniversary present to each other and we just celebrated our 34th this month too...it's the gift that keeps on giving, right?
Unlike a cruise or a trip, we get to keep the gift going and going and going!!!
