Just around the corner

Talk about frustrating,l My car has been sitting here in Phoenix for over a week now and they just can't seem to get it to the dealer. My guy says his hands are tied? Whatever! While the rest of the world is driving their new cars i am sitting here looking at sunny 80 degree weather wishing I could go for a ride.

I know the feelin. My car arrived at the rail yard 60 miles away eight days ago. Two others in the forum had theirs on the same train (different dealers) and they have their cars. Mine just made it this AM to my dealer. There is no way to track the trucks apparently. Just be patient, I know it is hard but your car will come.

I think you'll be suprised with delivery in a day or two, but 8 days is a little long.

My dealer says he has no input on when they get the vehicles from the railhead but other dealers have their cars which arived at the rail after mine. Oh well I get it when I get it. it is just saving me money at this point bucause once the mods start I may be living in a cardboard box.

The dealership that receiving your vehicle has to have X amount of cars on the trailer going to that dealership. This is to keep the cost of trips down.
Good luck, I hope you get it soon.

Well I got my car yesterday! Love it! Only got about 60 miles on it yesterday but I am very impressed at how well the car rides. Air works great, which is good seeing as it is now going to be over hundred degrees for the next .......longtime here in AZ, The power feels good although not quite as explosive as some posters made it sound. I have not really had a chance to really get after it but at some point this weekend .........thumbup:

HOLY SHIT.

OMG,,,,, this is horrible and funny all at the same time.

Not laughing at you OP, or anyone else in agony over waiting (I waited myself) but to have it THIS CLOSE and still be waiting.

Talk about a freaking TEASE.

Congrats on getting the car though.

Well I have a few days on the ZL now and I can say that I am very impressed. I am becoming more comfortable driving it. I am a pick up truck guy and this is sort of a new adventure for me so I am not going to tell everyone how I can run 10,s or pull G's or anything like that...... At least not yet but I can share some experience. First I will say that the car rides way better than i thought it would and clearly it has gobs of power.

There has been talk about interiour noise or drone? It does not have this. However, on really rough roads the car does resinate the road noise pretty bad. I compare this to my BMW which is incredibly quiet inside.

While I have not really pushed the car as far as cornering goes i will say that it is the best steering car i have ever driven. It is stuck to the road.

I went to Vegas and back from PHX yesterday and ran a good portion in excess of 110mph (I know, 80mph for 1500, I just can't follow directions) The air works great the stereo is good, the seats are very good even for a big guy (6-4 300lbs) I re-set the fuel/trip meter coming home and averaged 18 mpg running about half the trip with the cruise on. I was going pretty hard in some places so i think if you tried you could easily get 20mpg if it matters to you. The tank on the car could stand to be a couple gallons bigger but it's doable. range is about 260 or so. that's all for now. Good job Chevy.
