So, bottom line, you can still get a Bo White ported Stage II for $150, inclusive of a core exchange if purchased through JacFab?

I had this same issue with the VMAX a couple months ago.

Ive heard it from alot of different ones, hand port or otherwise. A few of the computers and TBs when calibrated at the plant are within tolerance of voltage, ohms and throttle position but when you swap to another TB it may be further out. Another issue is airflow. Predicted airflow and predicted throttle position arent what the computer is mapped to see and will also throw a code or two if its far enough out if the + or - tolerances its allowed. Ive had a couple that I just sent them another TB, I recieve their other one and I put it on my car and its fine but all that means is it works on my car lol. My computer isnt as finicky I suppose. A few computers are just "finicky"
I do have a few here that are just bad TBs.

I have never heard one bad thing about Bo White or VMAX, funny that my tuner never came up with those results...

I personally don't think you can go wrong with either of them...
That is so freaking WRONG! I just black balled EVER doing business with that guy! To put crap like that out there against Bo White because you sell Vmax is wrong and poor business practice! Bo does not bad mouth Vmax, he stays classy! Vmax should pull this guy from their vendor list too for doing this...because I would go buy a BW just to spite this guy and that is not good for Vmax business. Perhaps the reduced power mode his customer saw was due to a shitty tune! Duh!
I did my research and bought a BW unit over the winter. I have headers and HF cats and CAI. I have NO problems with my BW TB! It is a work of art and works perfectly! I did put in a Vitesse controller and with that I was getting put into reduced power mode. I will NOT bad talk the VTC though, that thing is sweet! I just have too much air flow now without a tune. I highly recommend the VTC if you are mostly stock...or have a tune.
You can't go wrong with Vmax or BW. I just like the half shaft removal Bo does.

I put the VTC on after my BW and loved it! But, it started throwing my car into reduced power mode. So I took the VTC back off and car is fine. Not bad mouthing the VTC, that thing is freaking awesome! But just the combo I have was giving me a DTC code saying actual and expected throttle position did not match. I contacted VTC and he was very responsive. He suggested I maybe can't run it in a high SP number till I get a tune. Just too much flow and as Bo said...I may have a more finicky computer.

Love the BW TB and the VTC.

Bo White is a top notch guy, I would and will not send my porting needs to anyone else. I installed his ported TB last year and my car picked up 1 mph in the 1/4 avg, ran my fastest pass and a very noticeable increases in response in the pedal feel. Now he's doing heads for me, thank you Bo for honest good work! No tunning was needed or any issue after the TB install.

might seem like a dumb question but cars totally stock, gonna get CAI soon and was thinking about just getting a bo at the same time, pointless to do now since i've got nothing else or is it worth doing it now as well, i know its such an easy swap but i figure while i'm ripping apart intake the throttle body might be worth doing at the same time
