Lashway TSP 235/239 Cam Install
Just got my 1LE back from Lashway Motorsports and I couldn't be happier.
They installed the TSP 235/239 - 112 LSA cam and dyno-tuned it to 486 hp/ 427 tq. I already had on all of the other supporting bolt-on mods (TSP 1-7/8 headers, VMax TB, CAI, Air Scoop and NPP) but the car was un-tuned with those for a couple of months. Car drives awesome - pulls hard all the way to 6.5K and slow speed surge is almost a non-factor thanks to Josh's tune. The wicked rough idle is just money! Thanks again to Erik and Josh @ LM for the great work and quick turnaround. You guys are true professionals! Dyno posted... Last edited by 2K141LE; 07-07-2015 at 02:06 PM. Reason: adding dyno image |

Hmmm. I wonder what it is about this cam that absolutely kills torque? I mean, my 1LE made 423rwtq on a MUSTANG dyno with just bolt ons and a tune. Several thousand dollars later and you only gained 3lb/ft???
My build plan, up to now, has had this specific cam in mind, but with PRC 255 heads and 12:1 compression. The thought of surpassing 500 rwhp is enticing, but not at the expense of torque. I want to make at least 450lb/ft, and I'd sacrifice a little hp to get it(I'd still want to be teasing the 500rwhp mark, though ). Hopefully, it will just be a matter of a different LSA. Otherwise, I'll look into a custom grind.

Great numbers. Glad it turned out well for you. Erik and Josh @ LM do great work, wouldn't let anyone else touch my car

Thanks for that info. Any compression bump milled into the heads? I'm either going 255 or 260 heads and 11.5:1 0r 12:1 compression. On the fence with the cam. Might have to go custom.

Only slight milling and slight compression bump. I have plans for a supercharger in the future that's why I went with the 260 and kept the compression pretty much stock. If your going to stay na go with the 255. I love this cam I had a crazy cam in my trans am and I lost all my low to mid power and made it all up top. This cam has a really nice curve with no torque loss

What you posted is what I'm hoping to achieve, maybe slightly better. I'd like to go 11.5 to 12:1 compression, but that will require probably 63cc chambers at least. I think I could still run the TSP 235/239, but just for giggles I put in my order sheet to Pat G with all my specs. Told him I wanted hard chop at idle, hard pull from 3k to the red line without the power dip that I am seeing in this TSP cam, and with better tq gains. I started my "what do you want out of this cam" with "I want a TSP 235/239 killer!"
Don't get me wrong. I love this cam. But if I can taylor my own cam to perform just a little better, and on PatG cam motion lobes, then I'm all over it.

Sounds like a good plan you can def achieve over 500 whp and over 450 wtq going that route. I have stock cat back I wonder if I would make over 450 wtq if I went aftermarket but I heard a lot of mixed reviews.

I was on the fence between the 229/236 and the 235/239 because I didn't want to loose that mid-range power/tq. But after seeing/hearing/feeling it in Simon's 1LE, I was sold.
I would love to have my tq number up some more for sure but there are compromises with everything in this life. That said I have 0 complaints. Once that crank speed starts spinning up, it bails hard all the way to 6.5K and the cam shake/rumble at idle with the larger profile is just flat out killer. I hope you find the 235/239 killer with matching hp/tq numbers in that custom grind. Then I hope you share it! @Simon - thanks man!

Just got specs back and order placed:
232/240 .654/.626 110+2 Lots of intake lift in a short duration, should improve midrange a bit.
