Post Exhaust set ups opinions

Going to be pulling the trigger on some headers & x pipe soon. I'm torn on what axel back. I like the more deep tone. I had flowmaster 40 series on a few old school cars and loved the sound. Anyone have clips of those on their v8?
I want to be loud but not obnoxious. Also would love to hear headers & straight piped cars. Wondering how loud it really is.

Let me hear your opinions and clips if you have them.

Car 2012 L99 stock motor. Currently have stock exhaust with muffler delete.

Here's mine .. I have an X-pipe and Flowmaster Force II axel back exhaust. Love the sound, has nice a rumble to it, but not over powering.

I'll send you 2. So the first is the stock L99 with a 1 7/8 long tube headers and true dual straightpipes. That was my car several years ago. The second is with an SS4 cam and open headers

I have SP headers, no cats, and Borla X pipe. I do not have any sound clips though. It's quiet when you need to. And, it is loud when you want it to be. Plus it's made out of 304SS so it will last forever. Last time I knew Flowmaster is made out of 409SS so it will rust eventually

I didn't want to mod my car to the extent of headers for resale reasons.

I went with a Borla cat back Type-S. I think it's perfect with almost no drone but sounds aggressive. And much lighter than the stock suitcase mufflers.

If you want even more aggressive go with the ATAK cat back.

FWIW, Jegs sells a resonator delete xpipe for 2010-2013 camaro.

stainless..

i bought and installed the first one..pretty easy, did it on my floor with jack stands and a sawzall. not much difference in sound at idle, but more aggressive at WOT.

Still loving this groul... not as loud as straight pipes, but that deep tone tho... Flowmaster Outlaws with BBK shorties on JBA HFC's, tuned... raise the volume, watch your walls shake... vid, no justice hahaha...

Thanks for the info! So you aren't running any mufflers?
