Tell us a little more about the build. Pulley size, boost/power goals, cam specs. Please don't puss out and keep the cam specs secret. I'm going to build another TVS2300 LS3 soon. If I don't know the cam specs, you won't get my business. I can't believe anyone would install a cam of unknown specs.
BTW: thanks for all the good pics! |

Its running guys, sounds real nice at 800rpm
Just enough lope but not over done, real quiet valvetrain too. Results are comming,Its at 7lbs of boost with the 3.6 Pulley Remember this car also has a cam, headers, cai, bop and catback. Kenne bell is moved up just alittle bit, fueling seems to be right on and safe.. NO KR OF ANYKIND We are happy with the iats too Max they were 130 on back to back pulls which isnt too bad.. Here is the cam info. Its from Comp and specs are 222-234 566-576 113+2 Who sez you need a big cam to make power We are VERY happy so far with the TVS 2300.... I will have new numbers in about 10 minutes.. Last edited by IConnection; 10-30-2009 at 10:26 AM. |

Thanks for sharing the details. Are you using the stock cats? That's going to make one fine ride. What valve springs did you use? I thought you might be good to .580 or so with the stockers. PM sent RE: cam and exhaust.

Are you sure those dyno numbers are correct? All of the Magnuson TVS 2300 installs that I have seen (including mine) all have about 10% more HP than TQ. The numbers you provided appear to have virtually equal torque and hp. I am not questioning that it is possible but would love to know what you did differently than most to get such a close reading on both.

I didn't go into the long block and make 526HP/491TRQ with the TVS. OP added cam, Valve springs, headers, that are extras above and beyond my build. Nice Dyno Numbers! Yup, you are going to need a good tire budget. I'm Loving all these Camaro's making some nice power. Next summer should be awesome! Nice job on the build. |

We were alittle shocked at the torque being so close too..The base line numbers with a Magnaflow CB were 385/406,we leaned it out a smidge with efi live and got 401/419 before putting anything else on the car...
IMO the LS3 doesnt need a big snotty cam with a FI Street setup Look at this cam we put in this car COMP 222-234 566-576 113+2 Not very big by todays standards... It sounds great with a hint of lope and made power to 6500RPM I will get the dyno sheet up tomorrow This has AMR Headers on it with HF Cats for anyone that wants the info The Comp springs are good to .600 lift Hope that answers all your questions.. I've contacted the site for sponsorship and just waiting to here back from them Joel Last edited by IConnection; 10-09-2009 at 11:31 AM. |
