Michelin Pilot Super Sports

Just at 10,000 miles on my '15 ZL1 and the factory GY's on the front are showing wear on the outer edges so just ordered a set of front Michelin PSS from Discount tire direct....not a bad price: $356.39 per with free shipping.

I had replaced the rears at approx. 4,500 miles after I upgraded the pulleys and needed a stickier tire (Nitto NT05 315's) but will probably go with the Michelin PSS when the time comes to replace those.

Any fellow ZL1 owners running the Michelin Pilot Super Sports all around?

I run a 295/315 as my daily driver setup and save my F1's on a second set of rims for track events.

Like HDRDTD says. But good luck finding the 315s.

I like how they made the 285s at a 104Y load rating instead of 100 like the Goodyears and other manufacturers. That stronger tire is good for high speed support as well.

I just replaced GY on front with MPSS. Am still searching for 315 K2s for rear. They are great so far.
For those that already have them, what pressure do you run?

MPSS K1 & K2

There are two versions K1 and K2.
The most relevant difference is the tread depth. The K1s are 7/32" and the K2s are 10/32". The K2s are less than $10 more but much harder to find.

Do the 315 PSS hook up fine on the street?
That's the problem I have since my upgrades were done. I have an auto and the rear tends to kick out on hard starts and shifts to 2nd & 3rd. Not that I do this a lot but I do want them to stick when the time comes.

It hooks up better cool than the f1's and they're better all around for driving but I still prefer the f1's for dry tracking days.

I've been on MPSS's since 12 on different cars. Best street tire by far ever.

I caught a razor blade in one of my 315 K2s so I set out to get a new rear set. I just called my tire supplier to get the K2s and after a nationwide search there was only one left. I was told Michelin won't be producing the K2s again until May-June at the earliest. Not wanting to wait, I grabbed a set of K1s while I could. I like them not so much for the stickiness but being in the colder New England states, running on these is ok when temps drop below 40 degrees. We all know the F1s can't take the cold.
