dssv damper leaking oil

hello!

my first post on the 5 forum! just picked up a black 14 z28 #328 , 5,300 miles bone stock, even the trofeos.. they are pretty hard/old but still 50% tread left..
car is in excellent condition, priced right, decided to pull the trigger.

Only issue I have found is the drivers side rear damper is leaking oil.. clear very thin oil, not a weep, but drops of oil. I have found them online for 480-500$ range. anyone else have a issue with the shocks leaking? I searched both this forum and the gen6 forum and only found a single post of a new zl1 leaking front damper. I emailed multimatic and I got a reply in under an hour, they cant be rebuilt must buy new from dealer.. anyone have any suggestions or best place to purchase from?

super excited about the car, I'm coming from my C5 Zo6 and still learning about the z/28.

Your issue doesn't sound like the one outlined here but just in case:

No not the case unfortunately, but I have yet to pull the wheel off to try and identify where it’s leaking from.

i would contact the nearest chevrolet dealership and see if it's covered under any existing warranties.

If it was certified used, it will be covered. I know of one person, who had his swapped when he noticed it leaking. Done deal at the dealer if it still is within warranty.

Car was private sale. Bumper to bumper warr expired in January of this year. Powertrain warr expires Jan 2020. I’ll call the dealer worst they can say is no. Still curious if anyone else had had this issue. Little concerning it only has 5,300 miles.

Just one other person that I know of, a guy I knew at GM had one of his leaking. Only one I have heard of thus far.
