I love that you are asking your customer base. great job. I saw a Janetty Car in NH at the Bud Plant recently. Very nice guy (I am old and forgot his name) but he has a 9.x second Orange Camaro you did. It is really nice work.

I happen to have most of that stage one you describe from a different vendor, but a tune, headers, pulleys and injectors seems to be a great start!

Be really curious to see what you find about suspension at Limerock, to me, the road course it what matters.

Sounds like I really need to get a catch can and do something about the reservoir/pump.

Thanks for the thread, love it!

Just basing what we know about the SS drivetrain, I expect the numbers will be very high since the Trans is a 6L90 VS 80 and the Rear and axles are a Monster.

I am estimating 800 RWHP before upgrades are needed and that will be dependent on how the car is used.

As far as the engine goes the limiter will always be OCTANE and the hypereutectic pistons.

We have already seen 700 RWHP on Stock Short blocks with Ported blowers, heads cams headers injectors pulleys fuel pump upgrades on 100 octane unleaded.

Ted.

Ted, How about the gains of an LS9 cam? Some of us dont look for those monster numbers most shops have provided so far... ( feel a lot of them start at square 3 when starting their mods)

Ted, please make a better less involved fix for heat soak. I like the rx chiller but it's too involved of an install for me, don't get me wrong I can turn a wrench, but removing the front fascia just scares me, especially with an expensive car
A reservoir along with a special in house mix that doesn't cost 200$ and up would be good.

We plan to do incremental upgrades in small steps to fit everyone desire.

A Cam is a fairly large upgrade, I would start with pulley's first.

I guess we have to define heat soak first then we can come up with a solution.

My definition of heat soak is when you shut the car down and all the temperatures normalize to an equal number usually slightly higher than the water temp when you shut the motor down.

The Current intercooler system has no problem keeping the water in the system close to ambient temp even under boost.

The faster you turn the blower the more heat is produced further taxing the intercooler system this is when we have to start looking at ways to extract the heat faster to keep up with the rate of production.

The best you could ever hope for in an intercooler system is to match Ambient temp unless you use some other form of cooling to bring it below ambient air temps, whether Ice, NOS, Co2, or AC system.

Ted.

I bet that in Louisiana heat (105 degrees 90-100% humidity) the intercooler system temps have to be astronomical after running the car under boost...probably close to 150 degrees.
