Battery finally went out

After over 4 1/2 years my stock battery finally went out today. Jumped it and it started so I let it run about 30 mins thinking it would charge the battery but that didn't work so I guess its bad.

Is this covered under the extra 5yr warranty I purchased? I have to look for it and read it to find out but just wondering if anyone knows.

Won't be able to get to it now until this Friday.

My '10 SS is also 4 1/2 years old with 32,000 miles. Maybe I shouldn't wait for the battery
to go. Let us know what brand you replace the factory battery with and what it costs you.
Not sure about your warranty- Read the policy.

My car has 43,000 miles. I looked up the prices and their pretty steep if I have to buy one. $166 & 180 at autozone for duralast.

Extended 5yr 100k warranty that I purchased didn't cover batteries so I had to buy one. Bought the duralast from autozone for $165.99. Comes with 3 yrs free replacement, after that has 2 yrs prorated.
Will put it in tonight!

Mine is original 4 1/2 yrs. 27k miles.
Back when Delco made the batteries I could get 8 -9 yrs out of them.
Mow who knows.
Yours is the first time related failure I have heard of.

I noticed mine sounded a little weak so I put a charger on it. See how it's works when i take it out of storage. 20,000 km.

Good luck with that nozone battery! You will be lucky if it lasts 2 years. Out of all the things to skimp on a battery and good oil is the last thing. For an extra $20 you could have had a quality Interstate or Delco battery. NEVER put any autozone, oreilly, etc parts on these cars. Batteries on newer cars, excluding euros, will typically last 4 years.

I went with Autozone cause I bought an A/C compressor for another car online and Autozone sent me a $75 give card which I forgot about but it came in the other day in the mail, plus they also gave me a military discount so I really paid less than half the actual price.

I'll definately post on here if I begin to have trouble with it.
