Thanks Lupe,

I'm pretty excited... and a lot nervous... Brandi ought to be a beast... I'll have to learn to drive again...lol...

Thanks for stopping in and check back periodically for updates...

I took Brandi to the shop, and we discussed some things and then decided to get this run in...

I'm pretty stoked about the numbers.

All I have performance wise is a Roto-Fab CAI, which I have to credit for some of this... Nice piece of equipment... I'm glad someone else will get to enjoy it...

I also want to give a shout-out to Chase, at Apex Motorsports...

He steered me in the right direction on some suspension components, was very patient with my lack of knowledge, and accomodating to my desires for being able to hook up at the same time keeping the car away from sounding like a railcar and feeling about the same...

I ended up with a set of adjustable toe rods, delrin differential bushings, trailing arms, and solid rear sub-frame bushings... This thing ought to hook with some good drag radials...

I feel like he gave me some great options and I appreciate it immensly...

Thanks Chase...
Chase is awesome! I cant wait to see the final build when its all done. I think im going to need a road trip to TX lol

JR -Saw the chassis dyno article with your shop in it. You had the lowest, most conservative correction factor. (.e.g corrected DOWN not up) I see how they say Westech was most accurate, but they have always been super high on corrections.

Robert - I will bet your GMS TT will put out MORE power than advertised.

I have not seen the article yet you speak of - I was part of the whole test and debacle. No one really had numbers that were that close to the other guys. Westech is the dyno the magazine guys use all the time - it only seems natural that they say (claim) that dyno to be the most accurate.

My plans are to dyno test my own TT 2011 GS Vette and then go straight to Westech and redo the numbers there. Over all I agree my dyno is conservative and if you make big power here – you will make it everywhere. Better to be conservative then to embellish

Lastly we dyno for Porsche, VW, BMW and Volvo when the cars come into part - Ventura harbor. Our dyno is calibrated every 90 days and certified. For whatever that is worth

Funny you guys talking about this, I have that very magazine here on my desk in Brazil. I use a kindle reader, well the kindle app on my Ipad, but this magazine is the only paper book I brought this hitch... I'm going to read the Dyno article and the Perfect paint article.

As for the certification, It's like the 30,000 PSI gauges we use, it is certified until they release the pressure used to certify it, then it changes...

I just got a note from my builder, he has been under the weather really bad the last couple of days and so he had no updates for me... Yet...

He did send my baseline dyno files, but I do not have winpep or whatever it take to open them. #%&*%$^ company computers... Oh well, anybody wanna help a brother out... Let me know if you can open them and pm me the e-mail address to send them to and I'll forward them to you and if you dont mind, post them up in here... Thanks If anyone can help me out...

That being the case... I thought I would add a few pics of the trip I made to Wyoming with Brandi...

I went up there for a class, and my wife, Debbie, flew in the last day of class and I picked her up at the airport in Gillette Wy.

We left Gillette, and headed west, then north, then west some more, crossing part of the rockies along the way... I have to say, that is some amazing country... I had plans to meet up with one of our fellow members, but due to unforseen circumstances, that didn't happen... We traveled at a leisurely pace, and ended up meeting up with Pat and his wife Debbie... They invited us into their home, and we had a blast... Went to eat the first eve, then got back to the house and visited quite a while...

Went to a really cool and very old Southwestern/Mexican food resturant the next morning and then out to the White Sands National Monument... We drove through the White Sands Muscle Test Range on the way, and uh, yeah...

The first pic is a reflection of my Camaro in the door skin of Pat's Camaro... For those of you going in our caravan to the Fest, via Los Cruces, you'll get to meet Pat and Debbie there... Great Folks, and Good Friends...

The second pic is the national park ranger, just about thirty seconds after I had stopped and gotten out of my car... We were so busted... I had just cut some serious donuts and was walking over to look at then and this ranger drives by... about a minute later he drove back by again, going the other direction, and I thought uh oh... Then he came back by a third time and we decided to skeedaddle...

No sense pushing our luck... and I couldn't hide the donut marks if I had a big push broom and two hours to try...

The third pic is the four of us just before we parted ways. Pat and his wife went back to Los Cruces, and Brandi, Pink Pig, my wife Debbie and I went on down the road to Carlsbad Caverns...
