None. Stock exhausts these days tend to flow quite well. Deal with the other bottlenecks first if you're going for power. Long tubes, HFCs or straight pipes, and then catback. Granted sometimes, like with the GTOs, long tubes and catless midpipes sounded like shit with the stock catback so you pretty much had to get something done to the exhaust.

It is my knowledge...and experience...that a freer flowing exhaust most CERTAINLY will give a performance boost. Toss in headers, high flow cats (or none), and pure pipes and that exhaust will give a gain....pretty much over any stock exhaust. SLP Loudmouth and y-pipe. I had it. I used it. I saw the gain. Yes...there was a performance benefit.

There is no doubt in my mind that there will be a benefit from a chambered exhaust.

I believe that the catback exhaust you would order is put on by the dealer to get around the federal requirement limts. Also I believe that having the the dealership install the exhaust system keeps from voiding the warrenty.

Sorry, but every speed equipment manufacturer is going to say "dyno proven" and what not. Even the Turbonator. I'm just saying that I know a lot of stock catback cars that make big power, most of which being LSx cars. It makes little sense to put a freer flowing catback behind stock cats because the exhaust will only flow as well as the tightest bottleneck, which they are.

More catbacks are disproven than proven on third party dynos.

Granted, I'm talking modern technology. The 4th Gen F-body exhaust was designed 16 years ago, and modified slightly 10 years ago.

My desired set-up:

1. Kooks LT headers w/catted x-pipe
2. Corsa cat-back or axle back.

If i get one I am going with corsa for sure. They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. I looked on youtube at different exhausts on corvettes, mustangs and challengers and corsa always sounded the loudest and meanest and had no drone.

The Hooker Maxflow made the best power while still being very quiet at idle/2000rpm, but nice and loud at WOT. The Bassani Real Street also made nice power without being too loud.

FYI flowmasts I would agree sound pretty nice, but they don't do much for power, and exhaust systems with a better compromise of the 2 exist.

Do you mean GMMG, and if so where did you hear about that and where can I find more info? If GMMG comes out with a chambered system I know where I'm going!!

but that list doesnt really do much when those exhausts are tested on a mustang.
