Times and mph for heads/cam cars

What are some numbers for more basic heads/ cam M6 cars? I don't mean all out stock displacement head cam cars. Everytime I search I get VVT A6 cars or an M6 car like BFASTNOTLAST who seems to be pretty all out on his motor (maybe I'm wrong?) Where are the M6 guys that are off the shelf cam, ported stock/gmpp heads and a few bolt ons and what times/mph you guys running?

Billy (BFASTNOTLAST) went 10s with our shelf ss3 running stock heads, he is way into the 10s with our ported factory heads. He now has a Victor intake, but its still as drivable as any cam/head car.

My car went 10.3-10.4 and was so drivable, I drove 8 hrs one way to run in Baton Rouge.

Our ported stock heads, and shelf SS3 cam is as stout as any with stock ported heads.

So with the ss3 cam and full bolt ons I'm capable of running 10s? This cam may go in sooner than planned.

10.78 with stock heads, must have gear to make it happen.

Dont think you can slap a cam and run 10s. If you wanna run low/ mid 11s H/C or cam only, youll need all the other details around it to make it work. Those guys worked hard to get there.

Most of the big cam only guys run 12s, without mods like gears, drag wheels, agressive tuning, E85(or good octane), good air, agressive exhaust, etc. And youll break parts too while getting there.

Good luck, but try to go 11s without a cam if you goal is to run a good E.T.

Oh, I know haha. Ran a 12.3 @113, full bolt ons and tune with nitto 555r radial. Got solid subframe bushings and toe rods going in this winter and will be running skinnies up front with the new mh bias ply 18 out back so I'm hoping to be in the 11s this coming season 🤞. We shall see what breaks. Gears are the next big mod for me then the cam. Slowly getting there.

per my sig..DR's cut .2 off of 60...gears got me .4 off of ET...come spring with a better 60 and no other changes high 11's is the goal...no weight reduction and half tank of gas is how I run..once she's runnin as fast as she can as is then I will start pullin seats and sh!t out..really need front skinny's to help with the weight...

stock clutch that I have smoked 3 times, stock trans and shifter, just put RP in when I got it 2 years ago..

I had a local buddy who has a 1LE who did cam, headers, air box, tune, and a NT drag radial on stock 20s. He went 11.9@121. Had no weight reduction. Probably with a bit more effort could have done better. Locally I've not seen a stock gear cam/stick car trap into the 120's... Need the gear.

Yeah sounds like gear is a must.... it's on my list for sure. My struggle is do I go Eaton and 3.91s or zl1 with 3.73s. Leaning towards Eaton cause realistically I don't think I'll be boosted in the next 5 years lol

Did 12.43@118.4 on 91oct, full street trim/weight, 3 passes, 0-60ft in the 2.2. Clutch overheatin on 3rd pass. I did 12.72@113mph boltons.

Going back next season with a 18lbs clutch and drag pack 17x10 18x8 F14, with an air scoop LOL. Hoping for 11.7-8@121 at the local track, which is definitly a slow track. 11.7@122mph aint out of reality. Might do some basic WR like drag seat driver side and Braille battery.

Car has TSP 231 236 111lsa, UD, 1LE car, Vararam CAI(new version), ported TB and IM & rod mod, 2'' LTs &HFC into stock Hpipe and NPP.

FYI Id be faster by 0.3 and 2mph on another local track, 2 hours away, so I aint running on a hero track.

Keep this in mind when making your decision..... The L99 guys with a 3.91 and the 6L80 gearing makes 4th gear (1.15:1) the equivalent of a 4.50ish final gear ratio. Most of the fast list L99 guys have 3.91.

If you stay with the stock rear you can't put enough gear in it to really take advantage like you should because it isn't available. I would have a 4.56 or a 4.88 in it tomorrow if it was available to make a great 1/4 mile car N/A. M6 cars need gear to get the good out of it.

Aftermarket diff will make you gear limitations disappear!
