Coilover question

Curious if anyone has installed Pedders or Pfadt coilovers and if they ride well. By well I mean not bouncy or forklift like. Thanks in advance

Being one of the biggest Pfadt dealers, we have some experience with their coil overs. Two of the big benefits of coil overs in general and the Pfadt units in particular are tunable damping and adjustable ride height. The adjustable damping fits well with any ride quality concern, because damping plays a major role in ride quality. With the Pfadt coil overs there are 20 damping positions that will allow you to tailor the ride to suit your taste. Think of this as custom valving that you can change with a few twists of a very accessible knob. The softer damping settings provide better ride quality. The added performance, tuning, and adjustability make them well worth a consideration. There are a lot of differences between coil over manufacturers, so be sure to do your homework.

Feel free to hit me up if I can be of any further assistance.

I have the Pfadt coilovers and love them. Like Apex said they are adjustable. I like to ride around normally with them in the firm street setting #10. I've tried the drag setting which is soft at I think 2 or 3 clicks and it is just that, soft but not too soft, it allows the suspension to absorb more of the drivetrain shocks. And then when autocrossing I've also gone to 16 and that is quite firm, just what is needed for the track. These settings are from 0-20 btw. Also the ride height is adjustable from stock or maybe even a little higher to very low. Check out how low the Pfadt Camaro is. Hope this helps.

I've had my Pfadt Coilovers on since the summer - setting at 10 as 1977and2010 has his - and about an inch lower than stock. The ride is smooth and takes the NJ potholes / uneven pavement very well.

Along with my Pfadt Sport Sway Bars/Endlinks, Control Arm Stiffeners, Rear Trailing Arms & Bushings I'm delighted with the improved ride, suspension performance and stance of my Camaro.

If you have any questions Blair or Aaron are most responsive and helpful.

I have the pedders Xa coils and I am dropped all the way in the front about 2.5" and about 2" in the rear with the settings at 9 front and 12 rear( I think) and it is very close to stock in term of comfort.

Me, too. I'm at full drop on my Xa's with 12 clicks front and 10 clicks rear. It feels like stock ride quality to me.

the pedders xa ride really nice and comfy you have the ability to adjust them and even when you lower the car the ride quality doesnt change because you do not touch the spring you lower the entire body so the ride doesnt get effected if you are at stock hight or slamed on the floor
