Lowering springs

Hey guys I'm about to lower my car and I'm wanting to know how much of a difference it makes on ride quality. I had a car once that was lowered and rode like shit. So if u could please point me on the right direction that would be awesome. I just dropped about 6k on it so I'm a bit short on cash.

Nothing to worry about, not much harsher... at least with the Hotchkis set.

Just make sure you time your bushings! Search what that means if you nothing about that.

Contact Ricardo at Phastek bro. He'll guide you in the right direction. I am running a set of springs that are phasteks house brand, rides great. Little stiffer than stock.

All lowering springs will be more firm than stock but it doesn't have to be harsh. Exactly how they ride depends on several factors including spring rate. Pfadt springs ride the best, followed by BMR, then Eibach and Hotchkis. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to send me a pm.

I have Hotchkis on my SS. They dropped it about 1"-1.25". It looks great and the ride quality is excellent! Good luck OP! P.S. As Spec said, get those bushings timed.

On lowering spring alone you really do not want to go any lower than about 1.4". Beyond that the ride will be really hard and destroy the stock shocks/struts. If you want to go lower than that you need coil overs or air ride.

Lots of good stuff out there for these cars. Don't go super cheap to get what you are looking for but you don't need to buy the most expensive out there either. I would consider THESE. We have sold MANY of them as well as raced Frankie with them.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

All the best,

Lowering springs are a good idea since it can make your ride more planted and firm under different conditions, but it still depends how much low you want to go.

I'm thinking I want the BMR springs 1.4 on front 1.0 on back.
One more question for you guys. I saw not to long ago some one having issues with their alignment after they lowered it will it have to have an alignment? I think somone posted like specific instructions for it but can't remember
