American Racing Mainline

Is anyone sporting these shoes on their SS? I am trying to figure out why they say these won't fit @20x8.5 35mm backspacing and people on here can fit 18's on their cars

They probably don't have enough "mounting pad height" to clear the Brembo Brake Calipers. That is the amount of distance between the mounting pad to the back of the spokes. Just because they have the proper offset/backspacing, if the wheel isn't designed with enough outward curvature in the spokes, they will still hit the calipers. Besides they ONLY make this wheel in a 20x8.5, do you really want narrower wheels in the rear???

I like the rim and crazy enough to say it, I would rather get two widened for the back to 10". Most of the rims out there are just fugly
