Balue, keep us posted on how the cam fares. I would love to have a cam, but always feared since just about everyone I know of who had a cam has lost their engine at the track one way or another. If this holds up, I'd love to stop by your shop : )

IMHO, since this is a M6 and not Auto, perhaps I could have gone just a tad more aggressive, even in the name of endurance. Push rods, and dual spring kit with Titanium retainers, locks, seals, are the only two significant upgrades I elected to go with, to support this stealth cam. I have never blown an engine in my life, and all have lasted me well over 300000km's, with heavy but disciplined type of driving(by disciplined I mean proper engine warmup procedures, etc). I'm looking forward to this experiment for the next few years, but I'm feeling good about it as far as the hypothesis goes. I do have a sound clip somewhere of it somewhere in my hard drive, at both cold and hot idle side to side. |
