Balue, keep us posted on how the cam fares. I would love to have a cam, but always feared since just about everyone I know of who had a cam has lost their engine at the track one way or another. If this holds up, I'd love to stop by your shop : )

Will do man, a buddy of mine has been running the same cam package with out heads for over 20k miles now and has tracked it a lot. Also ran many times at Autoclub speedway where we hit high speed and banking. His is still running strong.

Indeed, but I'm willing to bet most road raced theirs with still too big of a cam, and precisely why I went with an ultra conservative, custom Cam Motion, 216/224 116+3; valve lift intake : .601in. Exhaust: .582.

IMHO, since this is a M6 and not Auto, perhaps I could have gone just a tad more aggressive, even in the name of endurance.

Push rods, and dual spring kit with Titanium retainers, locks, seals, are the only two significant upgrades I elected to go with, to support this stealth cam.

I have never blown an engine in my life, and all have lasted me well over 300000km's, with heavy but disciplined type of driving(by disciplined I mean proper engine warmup procedures, etc).

I'm looking forward to this experiment for the next few years, but I'm feeling good about it as far as the hypothesis goes.

I do have a sound clip somewhere of it somewhere in my hard drive, at both cold and hot idle side to side.
