Stock 1/4 times.

Anyone know of a 5th gen that has hit the 12.7 or quicker in the 1/4. Not sure if a 5th gen is even capable of those times but if so, can someone post a link or a pic of a time slip or something. On the Motortrend forums the Mustang guys are creaming their pants about the new 5.0 pulling that time in the MT road test of the 2011 GT.

No. The new 5.0's are faster there rippin low 11's with full exhaust, cold-air kit, tune, slicks with full weight & interior. The new Coyote motors are stout and nothing to overlook anymore. Based on where you live & elevation I say ur average SS driver will run low to mid 13's stock and an experienced driver may hit high 12's. Get a CAI, full exhaust, tune, Nitto 275/35/20 drag radials & low 12's / high 11's are possible

Watched Blufin run a 12.64 last January. Completely stock LS3 6 speed. Stock tires and rims too.

I believe he posted it in the fastest times thread.

I had just purchased my car a month earlier. I was impressed too. Made me very happy to know that my car could possibly do the same thing without mods.

Jesus, a 12.58 out of a stock camaro is amazing for a car of its size and weight. Impressive.

yes it is. i'm assuming that person really knows how to drive though. an amature first time at the track would most likely get mid 13s and would have to work down to something like that. as you can see there are several below 13 seconds so it is more than possible once you figure out how to get a good launch.

Anything in the 12's bone stock is good... obviously temp, humidity, and elevation play huge factors. The 2011 GT isn't all cracked up to what ppl say... We have several of em come to the track with us and run... some stock, some with bolt ons and tunes and theyre running the exact same times we are. We have videos posted on youtube of the 5.0 running 13's and not able to break the 12's. They are strong... but theyre being talked up alot too.
