Question Supporting mods for l99 FI?

Hi, I currently have a full Bolt on l99.(no cam) I wish to add a Magnuson heartbeat supercharger soon. what are some supporting mods that'll handle boost more reliability. This is a DD but I would like to be making around 650-700whp reliably.
I do want to keep VVT and only delete DOD (idk if thats possible)

any advice will be appreciated!
Please share part # or link too.

thanks!

Going to have too upgrade the fuel system pump and injectors. Bigger throttle body to handle all the air that it will want to suck in. Axle and tires to handle all that power to the wheels.

E85, meth, ARP bolt hardware, maybe a multi layer ls9 gasket, Suspension There is alot of suspension.

Transmission, the power levels you want a 6l80E wont live long. So common alternatives will be 4 speed 4l80E, Th400 3 speed, stick shift conversion, or you find a Camaro ZL1 intended 6l90E, most are for trucks.

There are cam kits that keep variable valve timing and delete DOD, GPI makes some, the thing is finding a tuner with enough knowledge to tune it to its maximum efficiency or GPI MIGHT do long distance tunes.

The cam and DOD has to go for that power level.

Cam is worth 100+ of that

ZL-1 pump
JRE fuel pump control module
JMS fuel pump voltage booster
ID1050x injectors
JRE blower cam package
LT headers
Catch can
JRE custom tuning 650 RWHP on pump gas

Ted.

I kept VVT. GPI makes a killer cam for this. Your going to need lifters, cam phaser, springs, retainers..... and so on. The power level you want is about $20k if you give it to a shop. If you DIY it you might get away with $15k. It's best to set a budget and then find out what you can do within that budget.

Remember the more power you want, the more stuff you need to get.

To do this right it will be expensive. Im amazed at how much money ive spent just getting to where i am now. Im about to dive back into forced induction here soon. Expecting another 15k and i have most of the supporting mods already. This crap isnt cheap lol. It takes a really good job and a very understanding wife haha

Yea, it will be expensive!! One of my buds just did a Whipple Stage 3 kit from Redline Motorsports here in Fl and it was an M6 car and he spent 18k fo do it, but he did get 683rwhp out of it!! The L99's will be a bit more as you have to consider a stall converter and a trans cooler too. I was going to go FI, but decided to stay NA as my "extra money" has gone away for that. lol. Good luck in your search and build.

Would It be smarter to get the supporting mods first before doing any FI?
Fuel Pump seems to be the highest priority.

I did my car in stages. I did the stall and tranny cooler first. Then the rear suspension with the fuel pump since cradle was coming down. Then the cam and Vvt and DOD delete with the turbo install. I dont want to add it all up lol.

If you can afford it all in 1 shot do it all at once.

Yes, I think so. After building up the drivetrain and suspension to handle the power, You might just find out that these cars are pretty freakin quick and not want to go fi. Not talking you out of it (just did it myself too) but I will admit to almost building it off the road- can’t really do much with a drag setup on the street.
