For the people who added the injen first....were the gains noticeable? How much horsepower/torque was gained

long-tubes by all accounts really change the sound of the car though, keep that in mind. shorties will keep the sound similar. but that is a huge price difference between them all so if you can afford any of them now it wouldn't take long to re-save for the other so any way you go will be good. longtubes will need a tune also as others have said.

I went with the Injen Long Tube CAI first, since it's cheap, easy enough to install at home, and give a good, proven HP and TQ gain (15-18 RWHP?)
The DT Shorties AND catback give you respectable gains of about 10-15 RWHP according to the test car dyno from a member here, if I remember correctly. I went with that combination because I got an amazing deal on the two together. The BBK LT's will be easier to install than the DT Shorties, since the DT's require welding to the downpipes. The BBK's will also generate more horsepower than either the DT Short/Catback combo or the Injen CAI; but, the BBK's will require a tune to get rid of the CEL. If you have an Auto, the CEL will kill your auto-start feature. The gains were noticeable with the Injen Long Tube CAI, but I didnt feel as much oomph when I added the Doug Thorley combo. The overall acceleration with all three mods is vastly improved from say 40-120mph (pulls real good in third), though. All together, my performance mods have cost me just under $1800, a third of which was installation of the headers and catback.

ya i dont think i want a whole catback.....thought about it for awhile though....if anything i'll probably do the injen now with the dt shories in the near future....i've heard great things about them and am sure that combo will give generous gains as well. I'm still debating holding out to see what the Vararam intake specs and gains are....anyone heard anything spectacular (yes i saw the thread) but they arent officially released yet

Rolling along...

Well, considering the Vararam intake isn't out on the streets yet, there are no official or unofficial gains/numbers available. The current release target timeframe is within the next 2 weeks. Performance info will be made available when the intake is available for everyone to buy. If your money is burning a hole in your pocket, then spend it but I'd say it might be worth waiting a couple of weeks before making the jump.

I'd say get the headers, but the OBX longtubes are cheaper than your discounted BBK's.
Then wait and see V-ram's #'s. I just wish the filter wasn't green. That'll definitely stick out on my orange car.

I went Injen CAI first... never got the Headers yet. At first, I thought I lost power, but it was all in my head. I might be getting ARH, just because most ppl go BBK lol.
