It's starting to grow on me. What can I say, if you don't like it, use aftermarket

The new wheel is hideous, belongs on a mini-van!

The 2010-11 at least has a round center!

A wheel without bells and whistles would be even better. Never use the radio controls on the wheel of my 2SS. Old habits, I guess.

+1

The current one is much closer to the original heritage look. Glad I got mine before they changed it!

I don't mind the wheel.
It is similar to when I had my Pontiac G8.
Button placement will be so much better on the new wheel compared to the old wheel.

It's a cookie cutter Chevy steering wheel, like the cruze, I hate it.

I'm so glad I have the 1st version with "Camaro" up front.

GM pays everyone at the Design Center (myself included ) damn good money to make the best looking vehicles possible. Then they let every 2-bit "auto enthusiast" tell them how to make their product better..... which in most cases just waters down the product. Didn't we all learn from the Aztek that design-by-committee is bad ???? "Opinions are like @ssholes, everybody has one, and most of them are full of $hit!!"

The steering wheel, redundant door lock switches, and pointless extra trim is EXACTLY why I ordered a 2011 2SS/RS, rather than wait for the 2012 MY.
In my opinion, decades from now, its the 2010s and 2011s that will be the ones people want, when the design was pure.
Fully Agree with this ^^

Also, unlike some other members, I never had to take my hands off the wheel to use any of the steering wheel mounted controls. Big hands I guess. Either that or I just do it right: leave my fingers on the wheel while sliding my thumb towards the button, push it and then wrap my fingers back around the rim. Easy-peasy.

Agree 100%. ESP the part about design by committee. I do design for a living also (just not cars). But with that said, it won't stop me from giving my opinion, I just hope GM is smart in the decisions they make and who they listen to.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the original (current wheel), but I don't hate the new one either but it is a step in the wrong direction. The only thing that really annoys me is I'd have to stare at a bowtie all the time. But should be easily fixable with something that covers it. I wouldn't buy a new wheel though if I hated it as much as some do.

Yep, I hate it that bad too. It's just sad--just a dip into the parts bin; not even a Camaro unique airbag cover.:(

In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't make a difference. No matter what GM/Chevy does, they can't please everyone. Most of us mod the heck out of our cars, so If you like it great, if you don't mod it. I am just grateful that GM even brought back the Camaro in the first place !!!!!
