Corvette guy that just bought a Camaro

I have owned a 2005 vert vette, 2010 GS coupe, and I currently own a 2015 3LT vert that is loaded up. I ordered it just the way that I wanted it and had it delivered to the Corvette Museum. She is my baby. I traded a 2016 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. Great car that had no manners and handled like a truck.
I just bought a 2018 Camaro 1SS Red Line Edition Vert with MRC and NPP. The Camaro is a great car, and I really enjoy driving it. It is just a little bit less than the Corvette. It has a backseat which really works for my issue of hauling kiddos around. The Camaro is an all around great car that works for the family guy. I am very lucky to own my Corvette as well which is really great! You all have made a great choice in the Camaro. It is a well rounded car that is really fun to drive. I am really enjoying the new Camaro!

You will find alot of Camaro owners currently own or have owned corvettes. I owned c6z51 and C7 2lt Vert with R8C museum delivery that was an amazing experience. Chevrolet just keeps making better cars in both models.

Joe: the Camaro 6gen is such a well balanced chassis that drives superbly. You have a fantastic 455 hp car, add 200 hp ( ie ZL1) and it is still a great chassis.

I want a Corvette, but with two small girls that I have to pick-up from school, it’s just not feasible. Actually, the Camaro is not very “practical” for this either as there is ZERO leg room in the back! My girls literally have to sit with their legs crossed up on the seat! But I suppose it’s still better than no back seat at all!!!!

Sold my '16 2LT DSOM M7 C7 with everything in it for my '17 2SS 50th Anniv 'vert. I do miss the C7 because it's such a gorgeous car for the money, but my drop top gen6 is pretty damn good looking too, and easier to live with day to day given my bad back and crappy knee.

Back in January, I was out in the garage looking at my stored 2018 Corvette Z06 Coupe. I was thinking how Winter already seemed so long and it still had a long time to go. I was also thinking of the mortgage size payment amount per month that I was paying for a car that sits in the garage for 6 months of the year and that it is driven sparingly even in the good months. I had to ask myself if it was worth it. I decided that it wasn't! So, I sold it back to the dealer that I purchased it from for about what I owed on it.
I found a slightly used (5500 miles) '16 1SS Camaro Convertible at another dealership that had mag ride and a 6 speed manual. I bought this car for $38,300 less than what was given to me for the Z06. I loved the Z06, but I find the SS Vert being a lot of fun for for a price that was more in line with my budget! "You can't always get what you want...you get what you need!"

I went to buy a C7 Grand Sport coupe and trade my 2003 C5 coupe. It stickered for $73K with options I wanted. While visiting several dealerships I ran across a FIFTY 2SS Vert for $20K less than the GS coupe and the Camaro has Blind spot which the Vettes don't offer. It had everything the Vette plus convertible and then some so I bought it. I also could not see spending $73K on a car that I only drive about 4K miles a year. Love the Camaro but agree the Vette is a wonderful car. Just could not justify it.

I sold my C6 just before the C7s were coming out because I knew that I wanted one. I ended up ordering a new camaro ss instead and had tons of fun in that car. Now with a new Gen6 2ss, I am having even more fun but I still want a C7 once I pay this car off as I'm not gonna get rid of this car.
