Need some experienced advice 2011 SS
Just got myself a 2011 SS, pretty new to the car scene altogether. I've been looking for mods and upgrades but don't know where to start, any advice? Where did yall get the most gains from?

i feel the best place to start is to get a nice exhaust set up, maybe start with the cat back and get headers/high flow cats later on. a good intake and scoop, ported throttle body and catch can are good things, and not too expensive to look at either. for me, the best bang for the buck was the vitesse throttle controller, i have a v6 though so maybe some v8 guys can chime in on that. everyone can agree that a tune might be up there for the best gain, but i would have that be my last mod.

Depends on your budget and how much gain you want. Most will tell you a intake, headers, and tune to start out with. Average 50hp gain with those I would think. I paid around $2000 for those installed at a good shop.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride!!
Be careful with the mod bug. It's virtually an incurable fever once you get bitten. Of course most of us don't suffer once being bitten, we enjoy it. As far as places to start, it all depends on if you care about a possible warranty or not. I would say the biggest bolt on power gain for a stock Camaro would probably be long tube headers. Additionally, if yours is an automatic, the tune that you should get after installation would really wake the car up. Other than that, if you're looking for being able to hear the car get a catback exhaust, help it breathe with a cold air intake, and/or get better throttle response with a ported throttle body.

Congrats! I suggest you start by driving the car for a while and you might be able to answer this question by yourself.

Depends what your goals are. What type of gains are you looking for? Are you okay with voiding any warranties? Do you want drivability or better performance? There are a lot of factors that weight in. I'd say start with a catback for sound, and a cold air intake. Maybe even a few suspension mods, or even 3.91 gears. Then go from there.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride. I didn't want to void my warranty, so I started with a K&N CAI and Flowmaster Force II axle back mufflers (my personal choices, there are several other good types/brands out there). Small improvement in performance/response and sounds great IMO

L99 or LS3? Skip shift is a small must of LS3.. you can also have it tuned out if you decide to go with headers. If you are just looking for a little more growl & happy with performance muffler change is in order.. again.. depends on L99 or LS3 if you need cat back or can just do change.. post what you are looking for and what kind of budget you are thinking. I still think mufflers alone were fine even after headers, high flow cars, intake, scoop.. it was plenty for what I do.. it was more of what really makes me smile tho.

I don't believe a 2011 still comes with warranty. Get a varram intake high flow cats and a tune.
