Looking to upgrade the audio in my car

I installed a pioneer avic 8200/PAC dash kit about a year or so ago and also installed a kicker subwoofer. I have the factory BA system in the car and it just doesnt sound very good.. i feel like i gotta really crank volume on the head unit to get anything of good sound.

Im looking to replace the rear deck speakers and the door speakers/tweeters to get some good mids and treb. Im not opposed to a 6.5" rear deck conversion but im also not opposed to keeping the 6x9. Not lookin to break the bank on speakers as its not a daily driven car but would like something thats a nice upgrade from stock speakers to compliment the bass added.

What suggestions is out there?

Replace the factory amp with an aftermarket amp. Did that with mine (after adding the sub with mono amp for the sub). The BA speakers are actually pretty good with a good aftermarket amp driving them.

Jl Audio RD400/4 was the amp I installed using the ******** FARK V4.0 Amp replacement kit

Don't know if that amp is still available, but it mounted in the stock amp location perfectly and it sounds awesome. The BA speakers sound great with this setup.

What about Kenwood eXcelon DNX694S? Otherwise, you can install good speakers, upgrade in-dash radio and use an amplifier to give the sound a crispy touch as a DIY up-gradation.
