Just dropped her off at this highly recommended shop for a full detail. They said they could take the paint off the car no problem but the stripes are still in question. I will find out in 4 hours if the stripes are fixed, if not im going to reinstall them (not on my dime though). The neighbors are paying for the full detail and possibly the stripes. The shop told me it would need a claying, buffer and polish with sealant. They guarantee their work and like I said, came highly recommended. I am excited to pick her up all clean again!!
I am not excited about this weather we are about to get in Coral Springs, FL. Tons of thunderstorms, possible tornadoes until 8pm, geez... perfect day for a detail right?

It's great that the neighbors are going to cover it. Good luck.

Just wanted to update for everyone. It's been some time since I was on (business has been VERY busy lol). I went to a professional detailing shop which they clayed everything, had to do this a couple times they told me to remove the paint, polished and then finished with a wax. The cars paint is perfect now. The stripes were ruined. I have someone who will replace them for me just need to wait till he is free to do so, for him business is booming too lol. Thanks for all the advice and best wishes, I really appreciate it all!

Laquer thinner will work on the painted areas. Not sure how it react with vinyl stripes.

Glad it worked out in the end (or almost did considering the stripes).

Yeah, as already iterated, lacquer thinner doesn't harm modern basecoat/clearcoat systems.

I had a similar thing happen, but fortunately it wasn't my camaro. It was our maroon malibu. Neighbor was painting some white lawn furniture. All the tips on this thread will help me take care of the problem.
...after all, I keep the malibu almost as clean as the camaro.

When I first got my car, it went 3 weeks without getting washed because the weather would just not cooperate with me.
