whipple whine

looking for some input on whine causes..car sounds and runs great, makes no noise or whining when cold, after car gets up to operating temps the whine starts and is very obvious..especially if you have another whipple ls3 next to it..car still runs perfect with the whine, whine does not seem to affect power{ not really pushing it as it may be a bearing and do not want to cause any disasters}..if car sits 20 minutes, it whines pretty much on start up..has to be totally cold for it to sound normal for 5-10 minutes of running..spoke with mike@ whipple and he listened to video, said it could be a bearing or air leak..he could not be sure..hoping someone has heard a similar whine and has a good idea of what it is , befiore I tear it down and send to whipple..just want to mention , mike at whipple has gotten back to me under 24hrs and will do what he can to help get issue reolved..just what you want in a vendor with such a expensive mod..video whine is real obvious near end, when I give a few short rev,s..it is not any pulley and oil is halfway in the glass eye..thanks in advance..here is youtube link , if it does not attach here..

Don't know mike, mine has never made that sound. I would say it a bearing from the sound of it.

Yea I would get that off and back to Whipple before it destroys itself and takes other things with it.

Remember when we were kids we would put cards on your bicycle forks to make noise on the spokes? Well maybe I should put a whistle in my grill to make fake wimple wine so it sounds like I am going fast!!!

what pulley combo are you running? I think I'll be shipping mine next. It's starting to sound the same way, just not as loud.

can,t remember, we built the infamous adm independent 10 rib built system..the 10 rib runs olnly the sc pulley..using a gt500 pulley-a zl1 tensioner and a Cadillac balancer if I recall..running around 15psi..we had a 18psi pulley on the whipple, but after doing the math, we whaer oeverspining the whipple around 20000rpm..i believe whipple is around 18500rpm maximum..if I recall , we are just under that by approx. 300rpm @ 15psi

Is this a common problem with supercharges? Or is it because it was spinning to fast? How long should the bearings last before they need to be replaced? And when they need replacing does it have to be sent back to whipple? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm looking to purchase this supercharge.
